The following statement made by the Ascended Master El Morya in 1970 would appear to go a long way to putting both of these doubts to rest: The time has come when we should sharpen our wits, determine that we shall not fight one another but seek the glory radiant in the heart of the elect. Is this glory not one? How can it then be divided against itself? Who are the dividers of men, they who seek to conquer for Satan? The nets of power and control are everywhere. Men seek the occult that they may control others. More than one person has expressed to me the fear that the ability to walk on water could be fabricated by false teachers with no Christ Attainment. If those who advance this fear believe in the veracity of the Messenger Mark and Elizabeth Prophet, and the veracity of the word of the Ascended Master El Morya delivered through these Messengers, this statement by the Master must put that fear to rest. Let's take a very close look at this statement. When the Master makes reference to the "magicians of Egypt" we take him to mean two things, one specific, and one more general. As to the specific, El Morya is referring to the actual magicians of Egypt who tried to match the power of God (invoked by Moses) with their own counterfeit phenomena. As to the more general meaning, El Morya is referring to all those who fit into the broad category of the false hierarchy, the sinister force, black magicians, false teachers, the archdeceivers, the forces of anti-christ, in other words, the practitioners of the black arts in general. El Morya's reference to the "mechanical systems of mental control with their hypnotic rhythms" must be taken as a description of the methods used by the "magicians of Egypt", and the practitioners of the black arts in general, to produce their own counterfeit phenomena. And in regards to these "mechanical systems of mental control with their hypnotic rhythms," the Master states emphatically, that they, "are not the key Christ used to walk upon the water and to raise the dead." There are three important conclusions that we can draw from this statement. First, the Christ does not use the methods of the black magicians to walk on the water or to raise the dead. Second, Christ has a key that the black magicians do not have, and that is the key he used to walk on the water and to raise the dead. Third, in as much as the Master used the word "key" and not "keys", we must conclude that the key Christ used to walk upon the water, is the same key Christ used to raise the dead. (In this respect, from now on, whenever we think about the ability to walk on water, we must place it in exactly the same category in which is included the ability to raise the dead.) What does the Master say about this "key". The key is referred to in two places. First, in the first paragraph that directly precedes the second, where the Master says, "determine that we shall ... seek the glory radiant in the heart of the elect." This statement sets the context for all that follows. And then, in the first two sentences of the second paragraph, where El Morya says, "Let all devotees understand that the nectar of God is in the hive. You do not need to go without to find that which is within." We take the "hive" to mean the heart, wherein all Ascended Masters, and all those who are part of the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood congregate. When the Master says, "You do not need to go without to find that which is within," he is telling us that even the mental world (which the black magicians pervert to create their counterfeit phenomena) is considered to be the "without" in relationship to the heart. Therefore, the key that allows the Christ to walk on water AND to raise the dead, proceeds from the heart, from "the glory radiant in the heart of the elect", and not the "mechanical systems of mental control". And finally, as El Morya notes here, the black magicians may claim access to divine authority, but such claims are false: "The magicians of Egypt may cast down their rods; they may say, "We do the same thing by the same methods." <3> But the rod of Aaron, the rod of Christ, will swallow them up," The proof that they are not using the same methods is in the fact that " ... the rod of Aaron, the rod of Christ, will swallow them up." What swallows up these counterfeit phenomena? It is the key that Christ possesses that the black magicians do not have. That key is access to the power of the heart, i.e. "the glory radiant in the heart of the elect". This is the bottom line: The Master El Morya is assuring us that black magicians will never be able to either walk on water or raise the dead, that these demonstrations of power are reserved for those who manifest "the glory radiant in the heart of the elect". For, if the power of the heart is the key that gives the Christ the power to walk on water AND to raise the dead, and it is, and if this is the key that swallows up the counterfeit creations of the black magicians, and it is, then it must follow, that it would be impossible for the black magicians to either walk on water or to raise the dead, because the power that would enable them to do either of these things, would swallow them up! If anyone can think of a reason why this quotation by the Beloved Ascended El Morya should not be considered as another green light for the building of Lake WOW at the Heart of the Inner Retreat, please speak up, and make your case.
