In response to my proposal that we require, as the primary qualification for the next Spiritual Leader of Church Universal and Triumphant, the demonstrated capacity to Walk On Water, and that we build a small lake (Lake WOW) at the Heart of the Inner Retreat, upon which that ability can be demonstrated to the gathered congregation, sincerely held doubts have been communicated to me concerning the question of whether the demonstration of such an ability would represent genuine evidence of Christ Attainment, and whether such a qualification would be one that the Ascended Masters would approve.

      The following statement made by the Ascended Master God Tabor in 1973 would appear to go a long way to putting both of these doubts to rest:

O mankind, Heaven waits for the alignment of your bodies and for the desire to wax strong within you to receive the Holy Ghost, that you might be transformed and walk the earth as Masters of Life to perform those feats that were performed of old by Elijah, Elisha, by Enoch, by Christ! Would you walk upon the water? Do you not know that the water desires to have you walk upon it? Do you know the thrill of the elementals, the mighty undines who guard the tides of Life and the great seas and the waters under the seas and the great flow? Do you not know that they rejoice in man's rejoicing in his communion with water? Their joy is to serve you, O mankind of earth! And your joy must be to serve with them, to command the Life-essence of the Christ, to flow to the elementals, to infuse them with rejoicing and newness of being and fire and the Spirit to bring the earth into a Golden Age!

      Here, the Master speaks of the feats performed by "Elijah, Elisha, by Enoch, by Christ" and proceeds to encourage us to perform those feats. One of the feats he mentions explicitly is Walking On the Water. And of course it is very interesting to discover that God has placed within the water element itself, the desire to be walked upon by the Christ! And moreover, it is not insignificant that the Master chose to end that paragraph with a reference to bringing in the Golden Age, clearly implying that such demonstrated feats represent an important part of the overall equation associated with bringing in the Golden Age.

      I believe that this statement by the Beloved God Tabor ought to serve as one of the many foundation stones upon which the project of building Lake WOW at the Heart of the Inner Retreat can proceed with great certainty as to the approval of the Hosts of Heaven.

      Do the Hosts of Heaven hold in derision the words of God Tabor? I think not. Would the Host of Heaven hold in derision the congregants of Church Universal and Triumphant who take God Tabor's words seriously? I think not.

      If anyone can think of a reason why this quotation by God Tabor should not be considered as a green light for the building of Lake WOW at the Heart of the Inner Retreat, please speak up, and make your case.
