Terrorists Target U.S.
With Nuclear Weapons
Restore School Prayer
Before it's too Late.
By Steven S. Showers, Editor
The American people will retain control of their collective destiny, only up to a particular point in time, wherein, having allowed the forces of darkness and chaos to reach a resounding crescendo, they will spend their last breath of freedom, their last moments as a free people knee deep in a vast ocean of tears, watching their democratic traditions, and institutions, collapse before their very eyes. At that point, the people will have no power. They will be ruled again under the heel of the totalitarian boot, which they will have no power to throw off. That day of sorrow and destruction looms. The American people must use what power they still retain, while they still have it in their hands, to return America to a point of Godly sanity.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Mihael Chertoff has turned out to be a master of understatement. Speaking before the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland, January 25, 2007, he put it this way:

"You can't put that genie back in the bottle once a weapon of mass destruction or a nuclear bomb gets into the hands of a terrorist. You are not going to be able to reclaim that and it is going to transform the way in which we live." (source)
   — U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Mihael Chertoff.
As the dark clouds of unimaginable destruction loom upon the American horizon, let us finally cast off the lies, the falsehoods, and the sophistry of
fallen angels, which have, for far too long, been as chains upon the collective American mind. Set free, now, the children of this nation, finally, to utter, as one body, the magic words of gratitude to God our Heavenly Father, for his Providence,

allowing them, once again, to request his assistance in the saving of this nation, and quickly, from the threat of terrorism, a danger awesomely magnified, to a level heretofore unimaginable, by the terrorist's insatiable desire to acquire and to use nuclear weapons.

Let prayer be restored to our public schools now. And put a cork, finally, in the Mockery of Divine Providence which rises as a dark mist from the very bowels of the underworld. Let the freedom of the children to participate in a simple prayer with their classmates at the beginning of each school day — even for the salvation of this nation — be restored now. Let the foolish objections, the self-destructive objections, the suicidal objections, indeed the insane objections of godless minds be set aside once and for all.

Are the children of this generation so stupid that they cannot even see the vast plain of destruction and chaos that they are destined to live in for the rest of their lives? Heaven forbid.

Let the voices of 70 million school children rise, now, to the throne of heaven every day, asking God, to give them a future worth living. Yes, let them ask God for a future worth living, and he will answer them, and heal our nation, and the world along with it, placing into their hands, paradise restored.

Keep the children silent in this respect, and watch everything that we cherish disappear, even under mushroom clouds, a veritable tidal wave of destruction, indeed a giant tsunami of destruction that is heading our way, even as we speak the earth shakes under our feet at its approach, and it will destroy not only the present, but the future.

Where in the world did this tsunami come from, and if we do nothing, when will it hit?

"It's only a matter of time. That's what the experts say when asked whether a terrorist organization might detonate an atom bomb in an American city."

Several decades ago, deep under the ocean of God's Sponsorship of this nation, and I am speaking of the ocean of Divine Providence itself, and deep within the esoteric regions of causality, two enormous and cataclysmic shifts took place in the tectonic plates of divine purpose — initiated by the freewill decisions of the American people themselves — producing, in a manner of speaking, two major earthquakes, the first in 1962 when the U.S. Supreme Court banned school prayer, and the second in 1973 when the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion, throwing the peace, tranquility, and perfect harmony of that ocean out of kilter, creating a gigantic upheaval in the waters of life, in other words, the emotional body of the planet, generating a towering wave of destruction, albeit held at bay for a time, and half a time, but which is now unmistakeably headed in our direction.

This tsunami was first sighted on the horizon in 1993 when the terrorists bombed the World Trade Center towers for the first time, fully intending to destroy them both, but only managing to blast a huge hole in the skyscraper's basement. Eight years later, using a more lethal tactic, using our own commercial aircraft against us, the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 successfully destroyed both of the World Trade Center towers. This marked the second sighting of this tsunami, having closed half the distance. Make note of that. It has closed half the distance.

"It is now clearly in visual range"
It is now clearly in visual range, a huge boiling wave of hatred, rolling in our direction, towering above us with the stated intent to detonate nuclear weapons in major American cities. And human effort alone, no matter how energetic, no matter how enthusiasitic, has no hope of stopping it. No hope. National security experts validate this. Al Qaeda, according to their own words, has been seeking nuclear weapons since the mid 1990's. Some believe they already possess them. All experts agree, that it is not a matter of IF this will hit us. They say it is only a matter of WHEN.

Why is this apparently such a certainty? No human effort has ever been 100% successful in blocking the clandenstine smuggling of any type of commodity across any border on earth. America, the wealthiest nation on the earth cannot even stop the inflow of youth destroying illegal drugs into this country. The success rate in that regard is less than 30%. There is no way we can do this alone.

Only a respectful partnership between God our Father and the people of this nation can save the day. We are his children after all. He would love to help us. All we have to do is ask.

The Almighty will certainly do his part. But we must do ours. The voice of the nation must be raised in unity, and in supplication. The restoration of the traditional practice of prayer in our public schools is the only way to do that. It is the only way for the nation, as a collective unit, to invoke the hand of God's mercy. And the banning of abortion must follow soon thereafter. The death toll in this regard cannot be allowed to rise above the current total of 47 million to any significant degree. And that, my stiff-necked friends, this abrupt and total turn-around on the issue of abortion is the only way to ultimately guarantee that the merciful hand of the Almighty Heavenly Father can remain extended as the protector of our nation. Will the nation extend the hand of mercy to the unborn? If so, the Almighty will continue to extend the hand of mercy to our nation.

But first things first. Let that merciful hand be invoked, to quickly stay the movement of this giant wave of hatred and destruction that bears down upon us even as we speak.

Heimlich Maneuver on
a Constitutional Scale
Now is the time for the citizens of this nation to use what electoral power they have left, to demand an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would clear away the obstacle which currently blocks the restoration of prayer to the public schools. Yes indeed, there is something stuck in the throat of the body politic in this respect, and an expeditious Heimlich Maneuver on a constitutional scale, is certaintly in order. There is no greater need, there is no greater priority than this.

To this end, I would propose the following Constitutional Amendment, to which no heart of good will can object. I would like to present it to you line by line in the following Flash Movie, which has some very important photos of the 9/11 terrorist attacks interspersed with the text frames, not to mention some good music. The point beging, if we don't restore school prayer, we can only hope to see more of the same, but on a much larger scale. Please click the big green central button (when it appears - it fades in after the title text) to start this musical presentation. And we will continue with the discussion thereafter. The big green button will appear two additional times in the midst of the presentation to allow you to repeat those particular sections. If you don't want to repeat the sections, allow the green button to fade, and the presentation will continue. The presentation will be over once the movie loops back to the beginning title page.

This Constitutional Amendment Will Save America

As you can see, this proposed constitutional amendment does not constitute a centralized federal mandate for the restoration of prayer to the public schools. What it does, is remove the centralized federal obstacle put in place by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1962. This amendment simply returns us to the status quo of the 1950's, a status quo that was, in fact, in place for the first 184 years of our nation's history (1776 to 1962), wherein the people of each State were free to provide for the practice of prayer in their public schools if they chose to do so. Some did, some did not. That's the way it should be. Again, here is the plain text.
A Proposal for an Absolutely
Necessary & Crucial Twenty-Eighth
Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
Which Would Restore Prayer to the
Public Schools of America

"If the people of any state decide to give
the children in their public schools the
opportunity to participate in group prayer
to Honor God from whence all our blessings
flow, and to seek additional blessings in the
area of national defense, or whatever other
areas the people choose to specify, at times
and in the manners prescribed by their
respective State Legislatures, nothing in
this (federal) Constitution shall be
construed to prohibit, limit, or
proscribe this activity in any
manner whatsoever."

It makes perfect sense, from every conceivable angle, that a situation which has been turned constitutionally upside-down (by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1962), ought to be turned right-side up again, and quickly. Don't forget, that the First Amendment to our federal constitution was originally proposed and adopted (in 1791) to block the federal government from using its vast powers to suppress the religious freedoms of the people, specifically, to keep the religious practices of the people, State by State, including the issue of school prayer, free from federal control, including freedom from any kind of control by the U.S. Supreme Court, reserving to the States exclusively the freedom to decide for themselves, among other things, what kind of prayers, if any, would be practiced in their public schools.

Remember, many of the States had government sponsored churches at that time, and the First Amendment was designed to safe guard these choices from intrusion by the federal government.

Getting back to that original arrangement not only makes sense, but is now a matter of national survival.

Under the current circumstances — where we are now coming face to face with the catastrophic results associated with an unrestrained federal judiciary, where we are now coming face to face with the catastrophic results associated with allowing them free-rein to use their all-encompassing power to strip the nation of its spiritual defenses — surely it is true, that the wisdom of the original arrangement, and our immediate need to return to it, cannot be gainsaid.

The view that has carried so much weight in the past, at least in the minds of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, that there are some among the population who will be offended by the practice of prayer in the public schools, and that the soothing of their egos was a higher national priority than the defense of the nation, while compelling in the abstract, at least to some, as all sophistry is, is finally exposed as a point of suicidal insanity as we contemplate the terrorist detonation of nuclear weapons in major American cities. Clearly while the faulty nature of this view has always been difficult to pin down, like a fly in the kitchen, we can see that its promulgation as national policy, by the power of the federal judiciary, has led us to the very doorstep of national disaster.

Wisdom and Safety originally placed these issues in the hands of the States. Into the hands of the States, these issues must be returned promptly.

Please write to your congressmen and senators today, give them the text of this amendment, and insist on their support for it. If' they refuse to support it, cast your vote in the upcoming congressional elections for a candidate that agrees to support it. If the U.S. Congress does not act, and quickly, this will be the historic catalyst, long awaited, for the invocation, by the States themselves, of a Constitutional Convention, bypassing the U.S. Congress completely.

What will provide the motivation for this unprecedented interest in restoring prayer to the public schools? Again, national security experts tell us, that as things stand now, it is inevitable, again, not a matter of IF, but only a matter of WHEN, that the terrorists will succeed in detonating a nuclear weapon in one or more major American cities, beginning, no doubt, with New York, and Washington D.C. and continuing at least with Chicago, and Los Angeles, all known and previously targeted Al Qaeda objectives.

Remember how the attacks on September 11, 2001 caught the nation totally by surprise. Remember how the jaws of every citizen crashed into the pavement in their surprise and disbelief. We have their warnings, their stated intentions. The terrorists are moving towards this goal as we speak. Let us move to stop it, and stop it now, even for all time to come.

From this point forward, every election at the state and federal levels, becomes increasingly a matter of the life or death of a nation. This amendment must go through, and quickly, or this experiment in liberty will come to a catastrophic end far sooner than anyone can imagine. My friends, you cannot imagine, what the forces of darkness on this planet are ready to do at the very moment the United States is brought to its knees. The correlation of forces, on a global scale, will be turned upside from one day to the next

The restoration of prayer in the public schools is the only sure path to the survival of our nation, which cannot absorb one or more nuclear detonations in any major metropolitan area without creating a level of chaos in the economy and political structure that would force the institution of an authoritarian government upon us, simply to keep order. America would never be the same. And as the American economy caves, the world economy would slide into a depression, allowing the forces of tyranny the opportunity to reverse every gain for freedom made in the last 50 years.

Now, this is certainly quite paradoxical. On the one hand, we stand on the threshold of a new age of freedom for the entire planet, yet on the other hand, we stand to lose it all, and that in a twinkling of an eye. And who will determine the fate of the earth in this respect? The people of America will make that determination.

The people of America were on the right track at one time as the large stained glass window on the altar of the U.S. Capitol Prayer Room makes clear. How many Americans are aware of this? Click "more info" at the right to study this amazing work of art in more detail. Somehow we took a wrong turn along the way.

And so it is, that those who grabbed the steering wheel, and turned the wagon into the ditch, those who have always tried to inject a note of distrust into the American mind whenever the name of God is mentioned, those who have always stood in defiance of the common sense of the American people, a common sense that has always pointed to our reliance on Divine Providence, it will be these fallen angels who prance and dance upon the stage of worldly authority, even like so many intellectual peacocks, who will douse our brains with another dose of their mind numbing sophistry, arguing that we don't need God's Help, that we can easily protect ourselves without his help, thank you very much.

Even as the storm clouds gather, and thickly, they will not change their tune. No they will not.

They will stubbornly toe the line of their underworld handlers. They will continue to insist that we can protect ourselves without the invocation of that divine assistance that only the prayers of 70 million school children could ever hope to invoke. In this, they argue, as they have always argued, indeed and invariably behind a mask of good intentions, for the death of this nation, which is at hand, that's why they feel so good, and for the extinguishing of this beacon of liberty, once and for all. Yes, they proclaim their patriotism, their love of this nation, but it is all too clear, that in their presence, we have known and felt the lash of their hatred, their hatred of God, their hatred of his plan and purpose, and upon the fruit of their arguments, bitter beyond the scope of all nightmares, we will soon gorge ourselves, a nation of bellies bursting with unquenchable sorrow.

Haven't we listened to their arguments enough? Indeed we have. Haven't we heeded their arguments enough? Indeed we have. Doesn't our precarious position, finding ourselves on the very threshold of national catastrophe, in the very path of this towering tsunami of hatred and destruction, testify to our foolishness in this regard? Indeed it does. Isn't it finally clear to everyone with eyes to see, that the heeding of their arguments has finally caused every plump grape which heretofore basked upon the sunlit vine of national hope and promise, to shrivel up and decompose into a pinch of dust? Indeed, my fellow Americans, this is the truth. It is past time, almost to the brink, for us to finally decide to flush their sophistry down the toilet, and to turn in the direction of the inner sunlight of wisdom which God our Father has placed in our own hearts. Yes, let us finally reach out for his helping hand.

The choice the American people make, whether to survive as a free nation, with its institutions intact, or go down to defeat amidst a maelstrom of terrorist executed nuclear detonations, this choice will determine the destiny of the entire earth. Whether liberty will live, or whether it will die, on a planetary scale, is up to us.

Baltimore Sun

"We cannot expect that the defensive measures we take to prevent terrorists from infiltrating a nuclear device into our country will succeed indefinitely in a world where more and more nations - some reliable, others less so - acquire the capabilities to build the bomb. Like the levees around New Orleans, sooner or later the rising tide of nuclear weaponry will break through those barriers."

James E. Goodby, a former U.S. ambassador, is the author of "At the Borderline of Armageddon: How American Presidents Managed the Atom Bomb."

(source)

Throughout the Cold War, America lived under the constant threat of total destruction at the hands of the Soviet Union, but we could keep that threat at bay, and live in peace, because we had an effective and overwhelming nuclear deterrent. Now, the Cold War is over, and you would think we should be facing the prospect of increased security. Yet the opposite is true. We now find ourselves in a situation where the detonation of nuclear weapons on our own soil is not only more likely than it was during the entire span of the Cold War, but it is now an inevitable prospect. Again, an inevitable prospect. National Security experts are giving us the cold hard truth. America's very large and sophisticated nuclear arsenal has no deterrent value against terrorists. And there is no way to stop terrorists (who will be no less successful as drug smugglers) from smuggling a nuclear weapon into this nation, and detonating it in a major metropolitan area. Let us look deep into our hearts and souls, and see if we can find the answer to why this is so. Why has our security become more precarious, rather than less? On the very threshold of the Aquarian Age, why are we facing an indefinitely long struggle against nuclear armed terrorists, a struggle, if fought at that level, we cannot win?

If our national motto is true, "In God We Trust", why hasn't that trust born the fruit of greater security for our people? Perhaps now is the time to come to terms with the truth in that regard.

It is not true, of course, that trust doesn't work. What is actually true in this situation, is that we have abandoned the efficacy of that trust, most notably in the outlawing of prayer in our public schools over the last 40 years. We have not trusted in the Promises of God, that millions of prayers said every day would produce millions of blessings for our nation each day. We have been deceived into abandoning our inate trust in the power of prayer. We have been deceived into dropping this precious jewel into the dust. And instead, we have trusted instead in the lies told by fallen angels, that our nation can prosper by making God unwelcome, even a dirty word, a word to be mocked and ridiculed in the public square.

Certainly, this is the great lie that we have swallowed, that the path to order and peace in our society, and even in our public classrooms, depends on keeping the mentioning of God our Father hidden and out of view. Look at the looming cloud of destruction upon our own horizon, and tell me, does that ring true to you now?

New York, N.Y.
(Important Background
Information)
New York was the scene of more than one crime committed against the American people. New York was certainly made famous by the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, but it was also the scene of the litigation that eventually resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court banning prayer in all the public schools of this nation in 1962.
In response to a challenge (made by Atheists) to the practice of prayer in New York public schools, the New York State Courts, in Engel v. Vitale, raised up three towers of wisdom, in three separate decisions, in support of school prayer in the State of New York. Links to each of these three (3) cases is included here.
First, in 1959 before a Special Term session of the Supreme Court of Nassau County, where the practice of prayer was upheld (191 N.Y.S.2d 453).
Second, in 1960 before the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, where the practice of prayer was again upheld (206 N.Y.S.2d 183).
Third, in 1961 before the New York Court of Appeals, where the practice of prayer was again upheld (10 N.Y.2d 174).
In 1962, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed all three of these decisions, knocking down these three towers of New York wisdom, making them into so much rubble. (370 U.S. 421).
It is time that we rebuild these towers as well.
Indeed, we have abandoned that trust, most especially in the legalization of the wholesale slaughter of the innocent unborn over the last 30 years, again, at the behest of fallen angels, who have encouraged us to abandon our trust in God's Omniscience, in other words, to abandon our trust in the Infinite Dimensions of Wisdom embodied in God's Law, for example, where the Almighty proclaimed, Thou Shalt Not Kill, as if he didn't say that for some very good reason (even if you applied it only to the most innocent and the most defenseless amongst us) and moreover, abandoning our trust and faith in God's Promises, for example, that we will reap what we have sown, and what we measure unto others, in this case, unto souls looking for entry into the domain of life on earth, will be measured unto us tenfold. And that now, we are finally reaping the bitter fruit of that folly. The folly of abandoning trust in the Almighty. The folly of not taking his promises seriously. I can only say, that there is still time to turn around. Not a lot of time. But we have some time yet.

We are His children, albeit those who have allowed their sense of independence to become too sophisticated, and this has been true, and quite ironically I would observe, even as our hearts beat only by his grace and love. Let us reconcile ourselves with his power, a power of unchallengeable goodness, and his desire to set us free from our foolishness. Let our nation take his hand while there is yet time.

The terrorists have publically proclaimed their desire to acquire nuclear weapons. Our intelligence communities verify that they are actively seeking those weapons. Sources for already constructed nuclear weapons, or the fissile material and components to construct their own nuclear weapons are too plentiful, and certainly not securable in the short to medium term. With the materials in hand, the information and expertise required to build a workable device is easily within reach. In fact, the AQ Khan network is already believed to have passed blueprints for such a weapon to Al Qaeda. This is why our national security experts tell us that the detonation of a nuclear weapon in one or more major American cities is inevitable, not a matter of IF, but only a matter of WHEN. This quality of absolute certainty forms the forward wall of the towering tsunami of destruction that is headed in our direction as we speak.

This is no illusion. This is real. Again, I would ask you to please, don't' forget the shock and the horror that flooded through our national awareness on September 11, 2001. The American people did not expect that. Even though we now know that the plot unfolded systematically under our noses for several years, the event was nevertheless a complete surprise. A level of destruction unimaginable in that day unfolded before our eyes. We have the assurances by the terrorists themselves, they want to a thousands times more damage.

Take a moment to refresh your memory by looking at the videos of the planes crashing into the towers, and later, the towers collapsing. Click on the links to the right.

As terrifying as that was, the shock and horror of a nuclear detonation in New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles, will be several thousand times more powerful in terms of the impact it will have on the psychology of the nation. Hundreds of thousands will be dead in a flash. And tens of thousands more, horribly burned and mutilated, looking for hospitals that no longer exist. On that day we will invent a new word that describes a level of destruction and dismay that goes beyond anyone's worst nightmare by several orders of magnitude. America will never be the same.

Please, don't wait to make up your mind on the issue of restoring prayer to the public schools until after this has happened. Please, make up your mind today, that this will never happen to us, because we have finally placed our Trust in God.

Even as these fallen angels in our midst predict that the nation will become a totalitarian theocracy if prayer is restored to the public schools, I would say please get a grip on your own mind, and Trust that God our Father would never allow that to happen. He will hold the perfect balance required, between inidividual religious freedom, and the freedom for the people themselves to gather in any and all public settings to invoke his help for the saving of our nation.

In that spirit of unity which we felt, as a nation, so deeply in the immediate aftermath of September 11, 2001, let us solemnly agree to promote British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who was made, by an act of the U.S. Congress, and upon the signature of JFK, into an honorary citizen of this nation in 1963, to the position of PROPHET today, by making his words come true. "The Americans," he said, "can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted." The only question is, will we do the right thing before this inevitable disaster strikes, or after it strikes.

There are a few, especially those who have linked arms with those intransigent rebels in our midst, who'd rather be blasted by a nuclear bomb, than admit that they might need the help of God in any form. These are the spiritually insane, who've been behind all efforts to remove all mentioning of God our Father from the American public square over the last 40 years, wherein, it seems clear to me, that they would like to remake in the image of ground zero, the whole of it. The majority of Americans are not of this mind. These Hearts of Goodwill must act quickly to restore a note of sanity to this area of national security.

There is enough general agreement on this point which should allow for the passage of the proposed constitutional amendment. The following data is from the Gallup Poll for various years from 1944 to 2006. Decimals have been rounded down to the next lowest whole number. The data comes from the Gallup online library.      Clearly, we are facing the prospect of a major catastrophe landing upon our heads, and therefore, we must admit to ourselves that we have made a catastrophic mistake somewhere along the line, a mistake that requires a major change of course, a major change in our national strategy.

At this writing, you can read all of the programs and strategies which the best minds have developed for dealing with the situation, and they all have one thing in common. None of them include God in the strategy! Not one. Here is the mistake laid before the nation for all eyes to see.

We believed our nation could march into a future of peace and prosperity without recognizing the role of Divine Providence, and without actively invoking the assistance of Divine Providence. This has become the credo of our sophisticated elites. This has been shown to be a major mistake. All arguments which heretofore stood as golden pillars in that temple of error must be seen for what they are, as very destructive delusions. Indeed, highly "educated" individuals, minds filled to overflowing with these delusions, clamoring to grab onto the national steering wheel. Their "wisdom" is reflected in the destination to which they have brought us.

The error, masquerading as truth, is now exposed. The mask has been ripped from its face, revealing destruction and chaos on our very door step, and pounding upon the door.

We see the error for what it is, and we must now correct it. We must restore prayer to the public schools. Tens of millions of school children must be set free to pray to God for a future worth living, or they will be given this future of terror which looms now as a gathering storm upon the horizon.

Appendix A
click for more info      Graham Allison's "Nuclear Terrorism: The Ultimate Preventable Catastrophe" (available through one-click shopping at amazon.com) certainly represents an inspired expose of the nature of the problem, laying out a detailed blueprint for the methodical sweeping up of all excess and unsecured nuclear material, and suitcase sized bombs, and so forth, into the very large dust pan of international vigilance and concern.

However, let us not overlook the fact that these qualities of vigilance and concern are not normally the qualities associated with the international community, at least when it comes to American security. And this real world fact is like unto the proverbial gorilla in the healing ointment that Professor Allison would spread upon the looming wounds of our nation.

However, I do not discount his zeal. In fact, if human beings alone could solve this problem, they would do it according to his blueprint, which is well thought out, completely rational, and appropriately detailed. After all, he's a Harvard professor. Because of this, it is a very useful place to start, in terms of exposing why it will never work, i.e. by itself.

Indeed, in his fastidious devotion to detail, and to his credit, Allison, founding dean of Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government, exposes many areas where substantial obstacles and blockages to international cooperation are known to exist, all of which must be overcome before any degree of success could be realized. But, how those obstacles will be overcome, he doesn't say, obstacles associated with human vice and weakness that have intractiably defied human solutions throughout all of history. In this respect, by proclaiming this to be the ultimate preventable catastrophe, he does the American people a diservice by planting a hope in their hearts, which is inherently unrealizable within the framework of human effort alone.

Truly, anyone who really understands human nature, and especially the Anti-American psychology that permeates most Russian bureaucracies — thank you President Putin for inviting leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas to Moscow — knows that it is unrealistic (in the extreme) to expect diplomacy alone to overcome those obstacles. In other words, an effort to persuade those who despise you, to care enough about you, to work for your survival, would appear, to most realistic minds, to be mission impossible.

Remember the motto of the Heavenly Host: "Trust no Man". This is the reverse side of that gold coin of wisdom which has 'In God We Trust" emblazoned on the front side. This motto is based on realism.

There are simply too many minds throughout the world controlled by a dark-heart agenda, which is an agenda of simmering animosity at best, one that would be better served by at least sitting back and doing nothing, if not actually facilitating the transfer of these materials, for there to be any hope of gaining the level of cooperation which our survival will require, not to mention the far more numerous multitudes who simply don't care. They just don't care. They are too caught up in the struggle and drama of their own lives to worry about what happens to America.

Again, this is called realism. Whether it is personal security, or nation security that we are worroed about, the only sure bet, is to Trust in God. Trust in his promises. Trust Him when he says, ask and ye shall receive. This goes for nations as well as individuals. Only through divine encouragement, which can embrace the hearts of many, can the individuals or the nations around us come to reflect the trustworthiness of God.

And so, there is hope, real hope, that these obstacles of human laziness, inertia, lethargy, disinterest, inattentiveness, the inability to concentrate and focus attention, ineptitude, the inability to think clearly, confusion, procrastination, hesitation, indecision, bureaucratic turf wars, conflicting agendas, both personal and organizational, communication breakdowns, greed, corruption, animosity, hatred, malevelance, and so forth, all of which played a role in allowing the terrorists to hit us on 9/11, and which still stand in our way today like so many vast mountain ranges, like so many impenetrable barriers, between us, and the goal of keeping nuclear weapons, or the materials to make them, out of the hands of terrorists, can be overcome, in fact, it is guaranteed that we can overcome them, if we have the aid and cooperation of a higher power which is able and willing to illuminate the inner world of these bureaucratic functionaries, to light a fire under them in the right place at the right time.. We must have the assistance of that higher power to illuminate very dense, unconcerned, and distracted minds, who would otherwise never detect the transport of nuclear materials out of the facilities, or over the borders they are supposedly watching, setting aside the fact that 90% of most borders are not watched. You need something more than a plan that appears to be humanly complete, just like a good engine design needs something more than the metal parts, machined to specification. In that case, you need sparks, at the right place, at the right time, and you need engine oil, which only the Angels of God can provide.

Let America, finally, and forevermore, comes to terms with this promise: Ask and ye shall receive. And even with its inherent negative implication, i.e. don't ask, i.e. don't trust, and we can guarentee you, you will not receive the help of God. The latter promise is just as binding as the former.

It is always true, that God our Father is committed to helping those who help themselves, and that is certainly something that goes a long way towards explaining America's long-term economic success and super power status, and while Graham Allison's blueprint for action carries forward, faithfully and laudably, that tradition of individual initiative, it still represents only one-half of the success equation. Everything he has laid out, we must accomplish, if this threat is to be turned back. Yet, none of those efforts will ever achieve that high level of (international) competence and thoroughness required to successfuly shield us from the trauma associated with a terrorist-initiated nuclear detonation on our own soil, unless we have the other half of the equation operating. We must have a consistently high level of divine assistance, day by day, which comes at the price of national repentance and supplication. We must have the assistance of God's angels, which only the prayers of our nation's school children can invoke, 70 million prayers a day, to bring appropriate points of intelligence (illumination - bright ideas - inexplicable inspirations to action) to many people in many nations of the world, at the right place, and at the right time.

A good human plan to address the problem, along with a good plan to invoke the level of divine assistance necessary to carry forth that plan successfully, these are two halves of one whole. Let us finally consider the wisdom inherent in that divinely ordained balance. It is both natural, and the key to our survival.

The Nuclear Threat Initiative, NTI for short, an organization established in January of 2001 by Senator Sam Nunn of Georgia, and Ted Turner of CNN, to highlight the problems associated with nuclear proliferation generally, have taken the lead in the post 911 world in helping the American public to pay attention to the problem of nuclear terrorism. To illustrate the danger we face they, have created a 45 minute docudrama, starring the venerable (former senator) Fred Thompson (who played the airport administrator on Die Hard II). You can request a copy of this DVD for free. Click here. I did, and it arrived in the mail as advertised. This is what it looks like, front, inside, and back cover. Notice their reference to what the 911 Commission has reported, that the Al Quida terrorists have been on the hunt for nuclear materials for more than ten years now.

The NTI website is a good place to start when it comes to this kind of information. They've commissioned more than one report on this subject area already. And they have an abundance of reference material documenting the quest of Al Qaeda for nuclear weapons.

U.S. House of Representatives
Sept 12, 2006
(Text from the Congressional Record)

The Chaplain, the Reverend Daniel P. Coughlin, offered the following prayer:

Lord God, Creator of all and Savior of those who put their trust in You, in this era of post-9/11, we pray that the children of this generation and their children's children may never have to experience another day like the one that flooded our TV screens yesterday.

Protect and guide this Nation to a new security built upon human integrity and communal solidarity with all who love freedom and human dignity while respecting the life and beliefs of others.

Empower the Members of Congress and governments around the world to establish just laws and seek the common good that will lead to ways of equity and peace.

Let our children dream dreams, equip themselves with the best education possible and become creative leaders of tomorrow because they are aligned with Your will, Your power and give You the glory now and forever.

     Amen.

Both the United States Congress, and the United States House of Representatives have opened each legislative day with a prayer given by the Senate or House Chaplain respectively, or by a guest chaplain, from the earliest days of our nation's history. This is also a tradition followed by every State Legislature. At one time, daily prayer in the public classrooms of America was a freewill tradition adopted by many schools districts throughout America. But in 1962, the Supreme Court ruled such prayers in the public classrooms unconstitutional. After 1962, literally billions of prayers that might have been said by the school children of this nation, even to give them a future worth living, went unspoken. And unspoken prayers are not answered by God our Father. And this is one of the key reasons we find the very survival of our nation threatened today. It does not have to be that way.

for the Implementation

Voluntary Prayer in
the Public Schools

"Let the Children ask God for a future worth living,
and he will answer them, and heal our nation"
By Steven S. Showers, Editor

This document describes a sample set of democratic procedures which are designed for use at the classroom level which students may use to choose whether or not their classroom will participate in a weekly cycle of prayers asking God for the protection of America from terrorist attack, especially from the detonation of nuclear devices in major American cities, for the protection of American soldiers serving in the War on Terror, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq, and for help in solving other problems which the students will, from time to time, identity within their own school, in their community, in their state, in their nation, and in the world at large. The general structure and details of this procedure are in harmony with the spirit of the proposed constitutional amendment discussed above.

Generally speaking, that amendment has in view the idea that there should be no central federal mandate, imposing a prayer practice, or forbidding a prayer practice in the public schools of any State. If group prayer will be part of the public school experience in a given State, this will be decided by the people's elected representatives in their respective State Legislatures, the purpose of the forgoing Constitutional Amendment simply to allow this decision process to proceed forward in a natural manner without a federal obstruction.

In the process of deciding how to implement the practice of prayer in the public schools in a given state, it is my hope that the following procedure would be added to the mix of proposals to be considered by the State Legislatures.

The salient features of the procedures described in this document are as follows:

1. In each classroom in the school district, the students will be given the opportunity to vote, by secret ballot, on whether to participate in a one week cycle of prayer.

2. A student must make a motion to set that voting process in motion.

3. Another student must second the motion before the vote is taken.

4. A majority vote is required to proceed with classroom prayer for a period of one week only. The issue can be voted up or down the following week as the students please.

5. Students choose their own prayer leaders. Prayer leaders are approved by a majority vote. If no one volunteers, or if no prayer leader can win majority approval, then no prayers are said for that week.

6. Students decide what will be in the daily prayers.

7. Students will place issues, approved by a majority vote, on a Classroom Consensus Issue List. If no issue can win a majority approval then no prayers are said.

8. The student prayer leaders will work from the Classroom Consensus Issue List.

9. Students will be able to remove prayer leaders from the Volunteer Prayer leader list by a majority vote.

10. The role of the Classroom Instructor, as a representative of the state, is to maintain the integrity of the framework of student choice.

11. These procedures mandate no government role other than to assure that student rights to freedom of religion, expression, and assembly are protected. (There is no provision in the U.S. Constitution that bars private citizens from exercising the full range of their rights on public property.)

Now, in some States, the people generally might exhibit a particular hyper-sensitivity to the problems associated with group prayers led by the classroom teacher. This procedure is designed to remove the classroom teacher from that role, placing all religious decisions into the hands of the students themselves.

On the other hand, in some States, you will not find this particular level of hyper-sensitivity, and the people would be comfortable with an approach that is much more simple, perhaps allowing their State Legislature to select the prayer, or allowing their State Legislature to delegate this to local school officials, perhaps giving the classroom teacher the responsibility for choosing the prayer, or perhaps directing the classroom teacher to select a student to give the prayer.

The prayer chosen by the New York State Legislature for use in their public schools, which was known as the Regent's Prayer, which was struck down as unconsitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1962, would suffice for many States. In that situation, the classroom teacher led the prayer, and the school children would simply recite in unison.

"Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country."

However, we need to keep in mind that when the same prayer is repeated day after day, there is a potential for the practice to become rote, and when this occurs the practice will lose some of its potency in relationship to the level of power that God our Father can release in response to it. I believe that the student initiated approach described in this document has some distinct advantages in this regard, in as much as the student's level of interest is kept high, as they participate in the democratic procedures that will allow a prayer to be said at all. In other words, they are more apt to value the student initiated prayer practice because they are participating in the process itself. When an individual has a sense of value for a particular practice, this means that their hearts will be engaged with it to a much greater extent, and it will therefore be more efficasious in drawing from God our Father a much greater response, and heaven knows, with what we are facing, with the prospect of terrorist initiated nuclear detonations in major American cities, we need all the help we can get.

Though, for those who are inclined towards the simpler approach, a rote prayer is always better than no prayer. God our Father will always be able to respond to some degree, and it is this response that we are looking for, in fact, it is this response upon which the survival of our nation depends.

When we keep our eye on the goal, which is to give our public school children the opportunity to invoke the assistance of God for the saving of this nation, especially from the catatrosphic possibility that nuclear devices can be detonated in major American cities by terrorists, again pointing to the emerging concensus among national security experts, that this is not a matter of IF, but only a matter of WHEN, most people will simply say, let's get on with it. But, of course, let's do it in a way that is responsible, and respectful of the religious rights of all citizens. This procedure would certainly meet that criteria.

And so, let us proceed forward with one common goal in mind. We must stop the terrorists from denotating one or more nuclear devices in one or more major American cities. This cannot be stopped without the help of God. If the nation as a whole is to dodge this bullet, the nation as a whole must invoke that help. The restoration of prayer to the Public Schools of America, is the collective statement on the part of the people as a whole, which is required by the law of national freewill, for the intercession of Divine Providence to come to bear on the issue of national survival.

Findings

Section 1. In times of crisis, the nation as a whole has traditionally looked to God, our common creator, for help, never forgetting the importance of expressing profound gratitude for help received.

Section 2. In recognition of the source of our peace and prosperity, and in appreciation for the intercession of Divine Providence in the latest World War and the original Korean crisis, both having ended on favorable terms for America, more or less, the Congress adopted the words "In God we Trust" as our national motto, and directed it to appear paper currency as well as on our coins, a practice that had begun during the Civil War. (Treasury Dept. Fact Sheet.)

Section3. Since 1791, the members of the U.S. Congress, both House and Senate, have begun each legislative day with a group prayer. This tradition began out of a profound gratitude to God for delivering into our hands a new nation conceived in liberty.

Section 4. The preamble of each of the State Constitutions contains a reference to our reliance upon God. That's right, even California.

Section 5. From the very first day that their states were admitted into the Union, each of the 100 or so houses of the 50 state legislatures have traditionally started each legislative day with a group prayer.

Section 6. There is no realistic or useful distinction to be made between the act of our current leaders at the state and federal levels using group prayer to invoke God's blessing upon each legislative workday, and the act of our future leaders, in their elementary, junior high, and high school classrooms, using group prayer to invoke the blessing of God upon each educational workday. But of course, the student's prayers go to the issue of national defense, where the prayers of the leaders alone could not.

Section 7. The current prohibition against the practice of prayer in the public schools of America (forced upon the nation by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1962) does not serve the public nor the national interest when it comes to the urgent matter of holding back the prospect of terrorist initiated detonations of nuclear weapons in major American cities, the prospect of another war on the Korean Peninsula and the saving of the lives of American soldiers who will face a devastating military opponent if war breaks out, the prospect of war with Iran over the issue of nuclear weapons, providing the assistance our soldiers need in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in the matter of bringing the power of God to bear for the good of all within the environment of public education.

Resolved

Section 1. It is Resolved therefore, that the elementary, junior high, and high school students of America, who so desire, gathered together each morning in their classrooms in solemn recognition of the real and potential sacrifice American soldiers are making now and may be called upon to make in the near future, be given the authority to pray to God, our common creator and author of our Liberties, as a member of their classroom peer group, for the well being of those American soldiers, and for other purposes as the students may from time to time decide.

Section 2. Be it further resolved, that the intent of this set of procedures is not to mandate Classroom prayer. The intent of this set of procedures is to provide for the establishment of a framework of democratic participation and decision making that may be used by the students to either accept or reject the concept of classroom prayer, according to their free choice, and according to the consensus of the majority of students in any given classroom.

Section 3. Be it further resolved, that the framework of democratic participation defined in these procedures has no entry point for the official views of the state regarding the issue of whether or not the students ought to pray, or what they ought to pray for.

Article III
Framework of
Democratic Participation

Section 1. Every Classroom Instructor in every public classroom of this school district will allow a time period at the beginning of class on the first day of each school week, normally Monday mornings, immediately following the Pledge of Allegiance, for motions from the students on the subject of a vote to initiate a one week cycle of classroom prayers for the well being of American soldiers and for other purposes as the students themselves may from time to time decide.

(A) Once a student motion for a vote is made, the motion must be seconded by another student before the vote itself is taken.

(B) There will be no restrictions concerning which students are eligible to make the initial motions or the seconds to these motions, as long as they are duly assigned members of that homeroom class.

(C) If a motion to take a vote is not heard, the question of classroom prayer will be closed until the first day of the following week when the subject will be raised anew according to the provisions of Article III, Section I of this Procedure.

(D) If a motion to take the vote is heard, but, if a second to that motion is not heard, the question of classroom prayer will be closed until the first day of the following week when the subject will be raised anew according to the provisions of Article III, Section 1, of this Procedure.

Section 2. If a motion to vote on the subject is made, and that motion is seconded, then a vote, by secret ballot, will proceed on the question of whether or not the class will join together in a prayer to God for his help in protecting the lives of American soldiers in Afghanistan, Iraq, South Korea, and for other purposes that the students themselves may from time to time decide according to the provisions of Article III, Section 5 of this Procedure.

(A) A simple majority, in the affirmative, will be required for the issue to carry in the affirmative.

(B) If a simple majority in favor of the classroom prayer is not obtained, the question of classroom prayer will be closed until the first day of the following week when the subject will be raised anew according to the provisions of Article III, Section 1 of this Procedure.

(C) If the vote results in a tie, the vote will be considered as a vote against the classroom prayer, and the question of classroom prayer will be closed until the first day of the following week when the subject will be raised anew according to the provisions of Article III, Section 1 of this Procedure.

(D) The Classroom Instructor will not be allowed to break a tie vote.

(E) If a simple majority is obtained, and, this is the very first vote taken under the provisions of this Procedure, the Classroom Instructor will call for prayer leader volunteers according to the following guidelines:

1. All members of the home-room class will be eligible to stand for election to the post of prayer leader.

2. It will be in order for any student to nominate the classroom instructor, or a member of the local clergy, or a parent of one of the children, to compose and lead the prayers for that week.

3. The Classroom Instructor will ask the class to approve each volunteer by Yea's and Nay's or a show of hands. A simple majority will be required to approve a volunteer. Once approved, the name of each volunteer will be placed on the Volunteer Prayer Leader List. Volunteers will be placed on the list in their order of approval.

4. If no volunteer can obtain majority approval, then the question of classroom prayer will be closed until the first day of the following week when the subject will be raised anew according to the provisions of Article III, Section 1 of this Procedure.

5. The first volunteer will compose and lead a prayer for the following day, and for the remaining days of the week. The next volunteer on the list will compose and lead the prayer on each day of the following week, and so on, continuing week to week, from one volunteer prayer leader to the next.

(F) If the vote results in majority approval for the continuation of classroom prayer for that week, and a volunteer prayer leader list is already in force, the question of volunteer prayer leaders is set aside, and the next leader on the list is chosen to compose and lead the prayer for that day.

(G) Once the initial Volunteer Prayer Leader List is established, its content can be revisited by a student motion, and a student second, on subsequent Monday mornings, in accordance with the guidelines described in Article III, Section 5 of this Procedure.

Section 3. It will be the responsibility of the volunteer prayer leader to compose the prayer that he or she will lead, and to distribute a copy of the prayer to each member of the class.

(A) The student volunteer will not be required to or be barred from seeking advice on prayer wording from any source whatsoever, including other students, Classroom Instructors, faculty advisors, members of the clergy, angels, God Himself, or parents.

(B) The content of the prayer, in terms of targeted human issues, must stay within the bounds of the Classroom Consensus Issue List which always begins, unless the issue has been deleted under the provisions of Article III, Section 5 of this Procedure, with the well being of American soldiers serving in defense of freedom in Afghanistan, Iraq, and in South Korea on the 38th parallel, and the victory of their important missions.

(C) At no time will the classroom instructor express a value judgement concerning the contents of student prayers unless specifically asked to do so by a volunteer prayer leader within the context of prayer composition.

(D) If prayer leaders go outside of the constraints of the Classroom Consensus Issue List the students will have the opportunity to remove that prayer leader from the Volunteer Prayer Leader List on the first day of the following week as set forth in Article III, Section 5 of this Procedure.

Section 4. At the end of each prayer session a one minute period of silence will be observed for personal prayers on issues that may or may not be covered by the Classroom Consensus Issue List.

Section 5. On the first day of each week, at the end of the moment of silence mandated by Article III, Section 4, the students will be allowed to offer motions for the purposes defined under this section according to the following guidelines:

(A) The prayer leader for that day will chair the motion session.

(B) Each motion must receive a second.

(C) Once a motion has been seconded, it will either be adopted or rejected by yea's and nays or a show of hands.

(D) A simple majority will be the criteria to adopt a motion.

(E) The following motions will be entertained:

1. Motions to add additional discrete issues areas to the Classroom Consensus Issue List from which the volunteer prayers leaders work. Some examples might be drug abuse, or reading skills, or teen suicide or possibly even the issue of the federal deficit, after all, they are going to have to pay for it. If a motion to add an issue is adopted, the issue is added to the Classroom Consensus Issue List. See the sample Classroom Consensus Issue List in Article V of this Procedure below.

2. Motions to delete an issue from the Classroom Consensus Issue List. If a motion to delete an issue is adopted, that issue is removed from the Classroom Consensus Issue List.

3. Motions to add a Volunteer to the Volunteer Prayer Leader List. If a motion to add a name to the Volunteer Prayer Leader List is adopted, that name is entered at the bottom of the List.

4. Motions to delete a volunteer from the Volunteer Prayer Leader List. If a motion to remove a volunteer from the Volunteer Prayer Leader List is adopted, that name is removed from the List.

Section 6. In classrooms where students have voted in favor of participating in group prayers for that week, for the well being of American Soldiers, and for other purposes which the students will from time to time decide, any student who chooses not to participate may leave the classroom and wait in an area designated by school authorities for that purpose.

Section 7. In classrooms which do not vote in favor of morning prayers for the welfare of American soldiers or for any other purpose, those students who still wish to participate in morning group prayers will be given the opportunity to attend the prayer session in a classroom that has voted in the affirmative. These visiting students will not be allowed to offer any motions, or vote on any motions concerning the issue of classroom prayer in that classroom.

Section 8. A class secretary will be chosen by the class to keep a written record of the morning proceedings.

Section 9. Students and their parents will be responsible for purchasing whatever materials are necessary for the implementation of this program. But, classroom computers may be used by the students to maintain the various records and lists associated with the administration of this democratic Procedure.

Section 10. Time limits will apply to the Monday morning democratic process, and to the daily prayer periods as follows:

(A) A time limit of 30 minutes will be enforced by the classroom instructor in regards to the Monday morning democratic process.

(B) A time limit of 15 minutes will be enforced by the classroom instructor in regards to the daily prayer periods.

A Revolutionary Leap
in Student Freedom
and Responsibility

Section 1. The institution of this framework of democratic participation in the public schools of a given community will inaugurate a revolutionary leap in the amount of freedom delegated to students. Along with that freedom goes tremendous responsibility. Who doubts that the manner in which the students exercise this freedom will determine the life-span of the freedom itself, and the extent to which this framework of democratic participation is adopted in other communities across the nation?

Section 2. There will be those who doubt the capacity of the students to exercise this freedom in a responsible manner. We can anticipate problems due to a lack of preparation. But, these problems can be remedied and smoothed out.

Section 3. As these problems arise and are dealt with one by one, it will become more and more clear to everyone that what happens during the period of democratic participation, and during the period of prayer itself, will depend to a great extent upon what the parents and the church leaders have taught their children prior to and coincident with this activity. It is clear that the inauguration of this democratic procedure will spur parents and church leaders into greater efforts to educate the children in religious matters so that they can take maximum advantage of the opportunity presented to them in the context of this framework of democratic participation.

Section 4. Therefore, the inauguration of this procedure not only marks an actual revolution in student freedom and responsibility, but also a potential revolution in parent involvement, and a potential revolution in the involvement of community church leaders.

Consensus Issue List

God our Father helps those who help themselves. People, with their feet on the ground, and focused on particular problems, have the primary responsibility for doing the right thing in all situations. Yet, there are a wide variety of factors that keep people from clearly understanding what constitutes right action in a given situation, or if they have the understanding, there are factors of inertia, and other obstacles, which get in the way of doing the right thing, especially at the right time. The assistance of Divine Providence, which is delivered by countless angels (when they are asked to intercede) is needed primarily in clearing away the many obstacles which stand in the way of people understanding what action a particular situation requires, and the many obstacles which stand in the way of people doing the right thing at the right time. Doubt, fear, hesitation, and indecision, are like so many chains around the ankles of many who hold positions of great responsibility. These chains can be removed by God's Angels. Moreover the angels play a crucial role when asked to intercede, in placing high obstacles in front of those who desire to do evil things to other people. Indeed, the terrorists, far from skating around on the ice like ballerinas, can be made to walk in, what amounts to molasses, making it impossible for them to ever be in the right place at the right time.

God Is OUR Father
We are related to the God who created the stars, and all the planets which orbit around them, and all the life that lives upon them. We are related to that God. We can call that God Father and Mother. The stars in the sky represent a multi-dimensional lense through which we can discern somewhat of the character, and the power of our Father, and our Mother. And this is true, as a general rule, regardless of the depths of illusion into which many of God's children have fallen.
