Subject: Lamp Post Knocked Down - a photo essay

Dear Sean,

On my walk the other day, 7/24/2006, I came across a very interesting sight.  One of the lamp posts that lit Wendy Drive at night, had been knocked down, I assume by an out-of-control car, and here was this great pile of debris before my eyes, and the minute I saw this, I thought of you.  This is a great symbol for what Sean Prophet has become.  A (potentially) mighty lamp post knocked down.  And the broken lamp post, as it lays on the ground, unable to raise itself up, rightly wonders, "where's the light?"  There isn't any, anymore.  You can see that the lightbulb housing itself has broken off from its mounting, and the light bulb is broken.  I will begin this photo essay with a "before" shot.

Here is Sean Prophet before he got knocked down.

Of course, this is a metaphor, for the tearing down of the kundalini power that is suppose to rise from the
base to the crown, providing the mind with the divine power which allows it to become a real lightbulb.  The
"before" shot represents what you were able to become, with the help of the masters, during the years that
you made some effort to stay within the framework of the path.  The exposition that you wrote and delivered
on the history of the ascended master movement that was published in Keepers of the Flame Lesson No. 31, that the lamp post was standing at one time.  Here is the first page of that exposition.

Remember the story of the prodigal son.  God our Father would be happy to work
with any child who desires to have their lamp post rebuilt. Here's the "before" shot again.

Now, it is pride that speaks to the soul, which engenders
a (false) sense of wisdom within the structure of the fallen
lamp post.  But, every angel in heaven can see the debris
laying on the ground.  No one is fooled.  Except the broken
lamp post.  The first flicker of real wisdom within the mind
brings the soul into a sense of reality, as to its predicament.
The second flicker of real wisdom within the mind brings
the realization that only God our Father, and those who
minister in his name, can provide the expertise necessary
to rebuild the lamp post after it has been knocked down.
They are always ready and willing to help.

You should understand, Sean, that in the state of darkness
associated with the broken lamp post, you do not have
access to any of the memories of light, associated with
the proper operation of the lamp post, i.e. before it was
knocked down.   So, your sense of the past is substantially
incomplete in your current condition.

May you pass every test.
