Subject: Fwd: RHQ: Tragedy at the Inner Retreat - please pray

To all members and true followers of the Masters teachings,

Let the truth of this event be know and those responsible not cover-up and hide from their misdeeds, non-action or non-accountability about the public suicide by James Pollard Thursday February,10, 2005 at approx. 8- 9am outside of customer service building at the former Ranch Office of Church Universal and Triumphant.

The following letter as forwarded below [Ed: Reproduced in the Daily Blogger], is the only official notice that has been sent to select members of Church Universal and Triumphant. It is quite incongruous with the teachings and traditions of the church over the past 47 years, to effectively hide a tragedy such as this from the whole membership, much less to cover up, lie about and omit the true facts and nature of the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

James himself told several people that he was fired by the Vice President, Jon Springer, and his employer, Church Universal and Triumphant, left him destitute without even counseling him. We and many other members believe this played a very large part in putting these terrible circumstances into play. The unpopular church leadership's further denial of any responsibility in this matter, including being aware of his odd and dangerous state of mind, makes it very possible that this event may be repeated in further employer/ employee relationships at the church. (note: James was a hard working volunteer staff member doing odd jobs like taking out trash).

James was a sweet dear soul who would take any job he was offered and could do at his age to try to stay working at the church. He was seventy years old with no social security or church benefits after 20 plus years working for the church. Many staff are ignorantly blaming James Pollard for acting out his revenge in an ultimate expression of anger but his employer was aware of his dangerous state of mind thus could possibly have prevented his suicide or at the very least not added to Mr. Pollard burdens.

Until recently, the church paid no benefits (now benefits are for salary positions). Many members still complain about not taking care of the elderly who have almost all lost their church jobs while the church pays good salaries by Montana standards to two part -time presidents, each of which run their own private companies; Reverend Kate Gordon (who owns a custom built a half million dollar house in Bozeman) and Reverend Lois Drake (who lives in an expensive house just north of Tom Miner basin), both earn at least $50,000 salary and the Vice President, Jon Springer, gets a similar salary. The point being, that some financial help for James even from the pockets of the leadership would not have been a burden.

Further example of possible church greed: Elizabeth Claire Prophet lives in a daylight basement of a house in Bozeman and Erin Prophet has been begging the church leadership for years to pay enough for her Mothers care which has not been enough until now and had to ask members for years to help support her mother. The point is the present church leaders are appearing to be very greedy, and dictatorial with all past and present members and are extremely disliked by most members in the United States resulting in 7/8th of American members leaving the church since 1999.

The forwarded letter below states for people to contact Destyne Erickson for any questions they may have. But when we tried to call Destyne earlier in the afternoon, she hung up on us. We wanted to tell her that at least one other staff member may be suicidal, but I did not get the chance before she hung up. We did call back and leave her this message on her voice mail as our only option. One member who sends out e-mails for the church was told not to talk about this and told us not to tell anyone as this would be somehow gossiping about the suicide until the church sends out an official statement. Not until ten hours later did the church send out an official statement about James Pollard.

The bigger picture here is that the present leadership is accused of being corrupt, by many members, and may not be living, practicing, and being an example for our teachings such as our belief of being our brothers keeper. Instead they have usurped power according to former members of the Board of Directors and and Elders of the church, and appear to not be leading by example of our faith and teachings of the true Church Universal and Triumphant. Why? They elect themselves and friends and formed alliances to get rid of their competition. Church members have no voice or voting rights to remove them even though E. C. Prophet announced and published her plans in 1997 and left then president, Mr. Cleirbaut to implement voting rights to members but he was fired instead by many of the current church board. The church denies firing Mr. Cleirbaut, but his then secretary Therese Gray witnessed this event.

Let all know and understand that our current leadership especially Board of Directors and presidents Drake and Gordon and other leaders of CUT, are hurting us all and are destroying the integrity and reputation of our teachings and faith by their latest non-accountability and coverup of this suicide and the numerous excommunications and expulsions of many members who have dared to disagree with them, including once prominent ministers, Board members and Elders (at least 4 ministers will or have been excommunicated so far). We may be next but our love to save our teachings is greater than ourselves. Thank you for your time and please help us get the truth out.

Sincerely,

Daniel and Valery O'Connell

Ps. Dannion Brinkley will be making a public statement as our "unofficial" spokesman and advocate for members of the church. We will forward this when available.

Subject: James Pollard's state of mind

Dear All,

It has been reported by some staff members that James Pollard's state of mind and behavior had deteriorated and was very unusual for him. He reportedly was fired for this behavior after the leadership declared he was 'no longer on the path'. He was not decreeing many believe. He reportedly stated many troubling things to leadership such as 'being into UFO' activities, declared himself as not believing in Mother and the Masters anymore, irritation and non-cooperative with the leadership, even demanding unusual things like decrees must be turned off whenever he was cleaning King Arthurs Court.

James may have been in a delusional state of denial and certainly was being spiritually attacked. This is not the same sweet soul whom I worked with and last saw half a year ago. Those who saw his behavior and changes need to come forth and professional training be given to all leadership and staff so this does not happen again.

Why? Here is another example;

It took two days for parents to be called by the church leaders after a teen had a nervous breakdown during the 2004-2005 New Years teen retreat sponsored by the church. The parents report to me that they were called only right before requesting an exorcism be given for the teen at the Church teen retreat in Austin Texas. The parents report that Lois Drake and other leaders and ministers in charge mishandled and did not call the parents choosing instead to gather written reports by other teens. The teens psychotic behavior should have been alarming to leadership enough to call the parents they report. They also believe the church should not be trying to handle matters like this in a casual non-professional way. Especially the parent are upset about having the teen committed and left untreated and alone in a padded cell at the hospital without the parents knowledge that proper care was not taken as they assumed the church would do.

Please pray and ask that the church gets the message to seek out professionals in all future related matters.

Sincerely, V. O'Connell

Subject: A low and high example and Mothers words about suicide

Dear All, please pass this around:

Geraldine Innocente', one time messenger for El Morya and the Great White Brotherhood for The Bridge To Freedom, who had contact with the Masters in an unguarded moment, committed suicide. There but by the grace of God go I and all of us. We expose our own lack of understanding and weaknesses when we judge and find fault with James Pollard knowing not his tests or soul instead of praying for exposure and healing of what makes us all vulnerable.

This ought to be a warning sign that the church forcefield is broken and lack of community and employer actions are always a big factor according to the professionals of psychology, not to mention invisible malicious forces. To understand the Masters teachings is to not just blame the soul as Jim Bardon has done ( see his e-mail below). His accused hatred is not mine, but my love as a mother and heart pierced and I cry out to help souls yet. One staff member claims that James Pollard was "doing this to leadership and staff, getting even with us". We are all vulnerable and desperate with a leadership deaf to our many cries. James must have felt he had no recourse with leadership as many members do also feel and express this desperation albeit in other ways. James failed tests is as plain as day but there is a greater test here.

The church leadership and Mr. Bardon's appearance of or lack of concern and ignorance of the factors of suicide must be challenged. None are professionals in the field of the psyche nor of medicine. If one death can be prevented we should cry out to the highest mountains for one of our brothers or sister lightbearers. Find me one POW that puts the blame of suicide solely on the shoulders of the individual. No one kills himself without some outside force. May Mr. Bardon be ashamed of his own response, arrows of CCJ, and think not his interpretations of my words as somehow a "blanket-character-assassination " do not come from his own household. As Dannion Brinkley says so well about church leadership, "we will love them not matter what they do... what are they going to do, kill me? Love must be our weapon, not hate."

Hear yea what the Master psychologists, says about suicide:

"... The beast may be lying half dead in the subconscious. But not seeing this event as graphically as we see it, you have sometimes neglected to deal the death blow, the mortal wound, for the depression of the dead and dying beast has turned back upon yourself and upon the soul. The soul being sensitive and feminine in nature, therefore absorptive, filled with empathy and sympathy, has identfied with that dweller and thus begun to take on a mold of discouragement, despair, despondency. Enter Depressa, entity of the annihilation ray. And where Depressa is, can suicide entities be far behind?... the not-self rages-wages that war against the soul... Friends like Job's friends have told you, " You must have sinned, and gravely sinned, to have such a house of cards come down upon you!" POW Vol. 31 No. 59 Kuthumi

Let Jim Bardon's words below be an example of the pitfall we not fall/follow blindly into. Mother got to the bottom of every tragedy and used it as a teaching and reminder. Mother said about Geraldine's suicide; not to be so sure of ourselves or our victory (see the PMA lectures 1990). Shall we go and do no less and love each other free?

We will to be our brothers keeper,
V. O'Connell

I am sorry, but I am *not* going to post this essay you've written, onto The Chela News Email List. [Editor's Note: Refers to Letter of Friday, February 11, 2005 1:47 AM, posted above as Item #1]

My reasons (forgive me for being brief) . . .

a) Your essay "rambles". It has no specific *point*. You appear to hate EVERYTHING about CUT management (their salaries, the election process, the way they treat people). Of course, that is your privilege. But I don't post vague, emotional 'rants' on the chela news.

b) Your essay also implies that because James was fired, that was "justification" (my word--not yours) for committing suicide. That is not the ascended master teaching. No matter *what* circumstance our karma brings us, we are also give by God the ability to *triumph* over that karma. Suicide is a *failure to pass one's tests*. It is NOT something that El Morya's chelas ascribe to another individual as that "other person's" fault. My point = James killed himself because he FAILED HIS TEST. Heartless? Call it that if you wish. But that is Morya's teaching, and I will not change it to please you.

No more emotional 'rants', please Valerie. If you have a specific, well-researched "expose" of some sort you wish to share with chelas, well, that is another story. I will be happy to take a look at what you write. But this sort of lanket-character-assassination-without-any-specific-point that you wrote in today's essay . . . well, I'm ashamed to hear it coming from El Morya's chela.

Enough

Jim
