On the eve of the imminent war led by the United
States to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq, there appears to be a great need within
this organization to sharpen our thinking in regards to the issue of freedom, the sacrifices that
are always associated with the quest for freedom, and in this respect, to come to terms in a
balanced manner with the death of innocent civilians during war time. The following
statement was presented to me in good faith, and sincerely so, by a Keeper of the Flame:
"After all, what is the logic, pray tell me, of bombing, maiming and
killing people (Kurds, Shiites, sunnites, and other children of God in Iraq, the first victims of
the fallen one Saddam Hussein, indeed), so that they can be free? Am I the only one that finds
this "just a tad" preposterous?"
The first step in dealing with this question, is to recall
that the Ascended Masters went on the record during the first Gulf War in 1991, supporting the
idea of using United States military power to set the "Kurds, Shiites, sunnites, and other
children of God in Iraq" free. And the implications associated with this should be studied
closely, especially that particular implication that leads us to conclude that in supporting the
use of U.S. Military power, they were at the same time acknowledging that innocent life would
be lost, and that this was acceptable under the divine law.
Let us first take a few moments to review these
statements. I will be as brief as possible, giving the reader only the absolutely essential
nuggets of text. But it is always true that context is always important for the proper
understanding of any particular statement, so therefore, in case anyone has the sense that I am
taking something out of context, I have included each of these statements in their larger
context at the end of this article so that anyone, if they perceive a need to do so, can verify the
contextual accuracy of my analysis.
First, we will go back to 1983, during a time
when the forces of Communism were rampaging throughout Afghanistan, Central America, and
Africa, and freedom itself was so much under challenge in so many places in those days. Here
we have a statement by Beloved Archangel Uriel, given in October of 1983, that admonishes
the Lightbearers that when it comes to the defense of freedom, that they cannot afford to be
intimidated by the threats of destruction that spew continuously out of the mouths of the
forces of darkness:
"If the forces of freedom are always fearing the fallen ones and their
victory, always fearing the triumph in war and can never take a stand, it is easy to see, as we
have said many times, that the Bear will eat away until there is nothing left and world
freedom herself is threadbare and tattered."
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 26 No. 52, December 18, 1983)
From this statement, we can see that it is the Will of
God, and the Desire of God, that the forces of freedom take a physical stand against the forces
of darkness. When freedom is at stake, God our Father expects his Sons to fight. As the
Archangel makes note, if the Sons of Light make known their unwillingness to fight, the field is
left open for the fallen angels to move against God's Children at will. I read this as a timeless
principle. It is as much applicable today, in 2003, as it was in 1983. And it provides an
appropriate foundation for what the Masters said in 1991, regarding the freedom of the Iraqi
people.
And remember, when the foregoing statement was
made, it was made to encourage the Lightbearers to take a stand against the forces of darkness
which were then armed with thousands of nuclear weapons, and which fielded the largest
standing army on the face of the earth. It is amazing to consider the different situation today.
The United States stands alone on the world stage as the only super power. There is no threat
of nuclear retaliation by Iraq. Their military forces are extremely weak, and most of their army
will surrender early on.
In a dictation given May 12, 1991, The Fourteen
Ascended Masters who Govern the Destiny of America, are talking about how the fallen
angels work to snuff out freedom, and how they work to keep it snuffed out. In this context,
these Ascended Masters made this statement:
"Look at the Afghans. Look at the Kurds. Look at the Iraqis. Look
at the little peoples everywhere on earth year by year and decade by decade!
How are we to direct the course of this nation or any nation when you the people
of Light have allowed these fallen ones to remain in positions of power?"
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 19, May 12, 1991)
Look at the date this statement was made. And look
where the Masters are directing our attention. Is there any question that The Fourteen
Ascended Masters who Govern the Destiny of America stood, on that day, in bold advocacy
of using what was then the current military opportunity to remove Saddam Hussein from
power? This statement alone makes it clear, that when an opportunity presents itself to remove
one of these fallen angels, the Children of the Light are expected to step up to the plate, and
move forward, and get the job done, and harbor no excuses for inaction.
In this next statement, made in a dictation delivered
May 26, 1991, by the Ascended Master Hilarion, it is made clear that the Children of the Light
have a duty and an obligation to remove Saddam Hussein from power:
"This insensitivity to the life that is God in the womb [on the part of some
clergy] creates universal insensitivity to other parts of life. Where are those [men and women
of the cloth] who should rally in this nation against the leaving of the helpless Kurds to the
hands of that fallen one and evil spirit of Saddam Hussein? <8> ... The entire world should
maintain its outrage at the unchristian conduct in which this nation is being led! And let those
who support him also be known as betrayers of freedom. And let those who lead the nation in
the nonbinding of this oppressor of the people understand that the blood of these innocent
victims is upon their own hands and upon their own karmic record, and no leadership can deny
that this is true. <9> And the high and the mighty who have led this disgraceful deed [by the
disgraceful decision not to intervene to save human life] shall give accounting in the day of
judgment."
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 21, May 26, 1991)
I don't think that there is any question about it. If the
Master looks upon those who supported Saddam Hussein's retention of power in 1991 as
betrayers of freedom, what might his view be today, when it comes to those who offer up every
conceivable obstacle within their own minds, for leaving Saddam Hussein in power today?
The next series of statements on this issue comes from
the Ascended Master St. Germain in a dictation given June 2, 1991. The Master puts Saddam
Hussein on America's "TO-DO LIST":
"What is essential, I say, is the cosmic honor flame! Let each one have
that honor before his wife, his child, his neighbor. Let each one find that honor between peoples
and between nations. Let honor prevail and let those who have eyes to see take pity in profound
compassion for these oppressed peoples, the Kurds, the Shiites, the Sunnis and all of Iraq, who
have been burdened by Saddam Hussein. Let him be brought to trial, I say, and let the people of
the earth cry [out] in outrage until it be done!"
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 22, June 2, 1991)
Twelve years later, President George W. Bush is in a
mode of obedience. You can be sure, if the United States catches Saddam Hussein, that he will
definitely be put on trial.
Now, in the effort to set the Iraqi people free, St.
Germain promises us that "The heavenly hosts will come to your aid." Those are his
exact words:
"Take courage, for the heavenly hosts will not betray you as the president
of this nation in this and previous administrations has betrayed you. The heavenly hosts will
come to your aid. Look now at the hosts encamped upon the hillsides of the world! <1> Look
again and know that when you are aligned with God you shall prevail in this life and in the
next."
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 22, June 2, 1991)
The Master says, " ... know that when you are
aligned with God you shall prevail ...". There is no question about the fact, that in the
mind of this Ascended Master, that those who supported the use of U.S. Military power to
remove Saddam Hussein from power at the end of the Gulf War, were "aligned with
God." And moreover, that the Heavenly Host would have supported the effort.
And we can be assured, that the stabilization process
that the Ascended Masters foresaw as a result of removing Saddam Hussein from power in
1991,
is still valid today. Far from setting the stage for world conflagration, this effort by America
to set the Iraqi people free from Saddam Hussein will provide an electrode of liberty in that
area of the world that will have stabilizing repercussions for the whole region:
"Therefore, beloved, we shall see how this which has taken place in the
Middle East, which could have been used for a true stabilization of that area, shall now become
a destabilization that can lead to greater conflict. Now, therefore, with the clearing out of
armies and munitions from Europe, is not the way made clear again for another move of this
conspiracy of managed conflict?"
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 22, June 2, 1991)
Yes his prophecy did come true concerning the
destablization that ultimately followed, but when the job is finally done right, you can be sure
that his promise will still stand. In other words, when the Master says that setting the Iraqi
people free from Saddam Hussein " ... could have been used for a true stabilization of that
area ...", you can be sure that this is as true today, as it was then. This is because it is the
Ascended Masters who will use the situation of freedom in Iraq as a basis for stabilizing the
area, and the resources of light that were available to them at that time, are still available to
them today. In other words, the dispensation for intercession they had in the bank then, is still
in the bank, unspent, waiting for the necessary condition of freedom within Iraq to be
established by U.S. intervention.
And finally, it is no coincidence that 99% of those who
oppose the current effort to set the Iraqi people free, are those who harbor a pro-abortion
mentality:
"Realize, then, that the insensitivity to life in the womb breeds the
insensitivity to life in the Middle East and in every other nation. To be able to silence oneself
to the pleas and to the pain of the child being aborted is to be able to silence one's sensitivity to
every part of life ... And I tell you, this: this is the reason why the people have not arisen in one
great cry throughout the world against George [H.W.] Bush and the like who have denied to the
Kurds that due protection of the law that they should have been given! I tell you, beloved, this
crime is upon all those who have not spoken out."
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 22, June 2, 1991)
Beyond the general thrust of this statement, let's not
overlook the Master's use of the word "law" to describe what was required in relationship to
the Kurds. The Master is telling us that the Kurds had a right to the "due protection of the
law," which I take to be a divine law, in as much as U.S. law does not apply to people in other
nations, and international law is no law at all. Is there any reason to believe that the Kurds,
or the people of Iraq generally have forfeited their right to the due protection of the law? I
don't think so. And who is the Master looking to, to implement that divine law? The United
States of America.
On June 16, 1991, the Ascended Master Gautama
Buddha added his voice to the growing chorus of outrage over the fact that the people of Iraq
were left to be slaughtered by Saddam Hussein:
"Yes, beloved, but the greater tragedy is the absence of outcry of the
people of the whole world to challenge the leadership of this nation that does allow the
massacre of peoples, the people of God nation by nation."
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 24 , June 16, 1991)
Gautama Buddha is known for his advocacy of genuine
peace. But here, and this is what will be getting into shortly, if the massacres were to be
stopped, they would have been stopped by military force. In this respect, you have the
Master Gautama Buddha advocating the use of military force to stop the massacre of God's
Children.
On June 25, 1991, the Beloved Archangel Gabriel
referred to what had been done to the Iraqi people, i.e. their betrayal by the leadership of the
United States, as a crime:
"I come also, then, to speak for those souls who have shortly been killed
by the abortionist's hand and the 25 million [already taken from the womb] in this nation alone.
I speak in their defense and yours also; for this crime must be undone, even as the crimes
against the Kurds , the Iraqis, the Tibetans, the Afghans and on and on throughout the earth
must be undone!"
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 27 , June 25, 1991)
The Ascended Master St. Germain spoke on the
subject again on August 4, 1991:
"Yes, beloved, from the top to the bottom this government of these United
States is a betrayal of the flame of freedom and the hearts of the freedom fighters and the very
heart of God and the principles of the Declaration of Independence ... I say, for shame! upon
this government ... Take your positions spiritually and give the divine decree that help must go
forth to the Lithuanians, to the Estonians, to the people of Iraq, the Kurds, the Shiites to all of
the oppressed peoples of the world and that it must go forth from the heart of America! ... For
this reason we have founded this nation. For this reason Sanat Kumara has called you to go
forth for the victory of the Lightbearers and we are here in the full fervor of the legions of
Armageddon, of Sanat Kumara. "
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 38 , August 4, 1991)
In 1991, the forces of betrayal were within the very top
echelons of the United States government. Ok, some of them are still there, like Secretary of
State Colin Powell who was the most outspoken advocate of non-intervention in the after-math
of the Gulf War. And yes, this is the same Colin Powell who bent the ear of the current
President George W. Bush, and persuaded him to wade into the quicksand of the United
Nations. (Colin Powell is pro-abortion by the way). Nevertheless, it seems that the current
President has been issued a pair of El Morya's seven league boots, because he is marching on,
he's going to Bagdad, and he's dragging Colin Powell along with him. Today therefore, the
forces of freedom are in the ascendent within the very top echelons of the United
States government. They are trying to bring St. Germain's vision of freedom for the Iraqi
people into fruition.
Therefore, the forces of betrayal are not in the drivers
seat today.
But let's see where we find the voices of betrayal
today, i.e. beyond Colin Powell. Of course, we find them marching in the streets. But,
surprisingly, we also find many within this very organization giving voice to this spirit of
betrayal, humming along with the Choirs of Darkness aforementioned, allowing their minds to
be used to manufacture every possible reason to stand by and do nothing, to leave Saddam
Hussein in power, and the people of Iraq under his iron boot.
If the reader is a student of the Teachings of the
Ascended Masters, whether you agree with their position or not, you have got to admit to
yourself that they are 100% behind this effort to rid the world of that fallen one Saddam
Hussein, and they are on record advocating the use of military power to accomplish it. And we
can extrapolate from that what their position is regarding the death of innocent civilians that
will inevitably occur in the process of liberation.
We begin our extrapolation in this regard, with this
well established premise, which cannot be gainsaid, that the Ascended Masters made it clear
that it was the Will of God to use United States military power to come to the aid of the "Kurds,
Shiites, sunnites, and other children of God in Iraq" at the end of the Gulf War. After all,
U.S. military power is God's power. And to use that power to set his children free from
oppression, of course this is the Will of God.
Now, if the leadership of the United States had been
inclined to come to the aid of the Iraqi people in 1991, it is well to consider how they would
have gone about doing it. The U.S. Military was already present in force in the region, with
ground forces and air forces. These forces would have gone after what remained of Saddam
Hussein's military apparatus with bombs. And here is the all important question. Was there a
possibility that innocent lives would have been lost as a result of this bombing? The answer is
yes, especially if Saddam Hussein's forces retreated into the cities, and especially if they
resorted to form, and used the civilian population as a shield.
The Ascended Masters knew that this was a possibility
at the time, that innocent lives would be lost in the quest for freedom, but to them, this was
absolutely no deterrent. They are on record forcefully advocating the use of military force in
that situation.
The statement initially quoted above from the Keeper
of the Flame who has heretofore been completely opposed to this war, indicates that she
believes that there is something intrinsically immoral when innocent people die in the quest for
freedom. But from the perspective of the Ascended Masters, who are fully and keenly aware
of the divine law, we can see that this is not true. It is lawful to seek freedom, even though, in
the process, innocent people may die.
I am not aware if the Ascended Masters have set forth
a specific teaching regarding the reasoning behind the divine law in this regard, but it may be
as simple as mercy. That's right. As simple as mercy.
In this respect, it may well be a truism, i.e. something
that it true in every situation, without exception, that a dictator can inflict far more damage and
suffering upon the collective soul of a nation over a period of years, than the people would
suffer in the short term in the course of opposing and overthrowing that dictator. In this regard,
it is an act of mercy shown to future generations, by making the sacrifice in the present, that
will alleviate this greater suffering in the future.
In the current circumstance, one could calculate the
number of deaths that Saddam Hussein will cause over the next ten to twenty years, and the
aggregate value of suffering in general that he will inflict on the people in various ways,
including torture. And you could then compare that to the number of innocent lives that will be
lost in the operation to liberate Iraq now, and the aggregate level of suffering associated with
that loss.
For example, we could estimate the number of people
that will die over the next ten to twenty years at the hand of this brutal dictator at about
200,000, and that number is a conservative estimate based on what he has done over the last 30
years. And we could, in addition, estimate the aggregate level of suffering in general over the
course of the next 20 years, expressing it in terms of 500 millions gallons of grief related to the
death of those 200,000 people, and in terms of the direct threat to the population, 10 million
gallons of agony, 10 million gallons of horror, 10 million gallons of terror, 100 million gallons
of fear, 200 million gallons of desperation, 200 million gallons of anxiety, 500 million gallons
of frustration, and a billion gallons of depression and hopelessness.
Now, what would be the costs of taking Saddam
Hussein out of power? And what would the values be for the aggregate levels of suffering,
mentioned above, that would need to be re-calculated for the new conditions that would obtain?
Conservatively speaking, one could not imagine any condition in which more than 10,000
innocent souls would lose their lives in the upcoming conflict. And some would argue this to
be an unreasonably high estimate because of the accuracy of U.S. weapon systems, and the high
likelihood that the 90% of the Iraqi military will surrender without firing a shot. To lose ten
thousand innocent souls now, to save 190,000 over the next 20 years are so, would be an
expression of great mercy to those 190,000 souls. Moreover, all of the multi-million gallons
of pain and suffering that Saddam Hussein would have inflicted on his people, could be rolled
back to zero, simply because Saddam Hussein would not be in any position to inflict that
suffering.
More precisely, in terms of 500 millions gallons of
grief related to the death of the aforementioned 200,000 people, that value would be zero. In
terms of the direct threat to the population, the 10 million gallons of agony would be zero
gallons of agony, and the 10 million gallons of horror would be zero gallons of horror, and the
10 million gallons of terror would be zero gallons of terror, and the 100 million gallons of fear
would be zero gallons of fear, and the 200 million gallons of desperation would be zero gallons
of desperation, and the 200 million gallons of anxiety would be zero gallons of anxiety, and the
500 million gallons of frustration would be zero gallons of frustration, and the billion of
gallons of depression and hopelessness, would be zero gallons of depression and hopelessness.
From this you can see, that it is an amazing expression
of mercy to those millions of people who will be saved these various experiences of pain and
suffering. And in place of this pain and suffering, many millions of gallons of various kinds of
happiness associated with freedom, freedom from fear, freedom from terror, freedom from
agony, freedom from hopeless and desperation, can be reasonably expected to take the place of
the pain and suffering. And this is another major dimension of the mercy of the law.
Therefore, if only 10,000 will die in the operation to
free Iraq today, and the suffering associated with that loss would represent only a small fraction
of the 20 year value for the aggregate quantity of suffering, in the various areas mentioned, it
may well be, that in the minds of the Iraqi people themselves, that this would be a price worth
paying. And you can well understand how even those who will lose their lives in the current
operation will easily come to this conclusion, when you consider the fact that when it comes to
reincarnating into the Iraqi culture at some time in the future, that they will be able to
reincarnate into a FREE Iraq, rather than into the same house of horrors within which the Iraq
people have suffered for so long. As we have been taught, at inner levels, the soul is aware of
the broader perspective associated with the onward evolution of culture, and they are probably
prepared for this sacrifice. And they are probably aware as well, that they will need help
stabilizing the society to extent where a real democracy could take root, and prosper, and they
will be all the more happy, for this reason, to have the presence of the United States there.
Some might wonder why the Iraqi people would have
to suffer at all. Why should any innocent lives be lost at all? Why can't this be done with no
loss of life whatsoever? In my estimation, the actual level of sacrifice required in the here and
now in this respect, might have something to do with the karma of the people. And part of that
karmic equation may be simply associated with the fact that sacrifice and pain always
accompanies the process of rising out of a condition of oppression, of one sort or another, into a
condition of freedom. Certainly, we have many illustrations of this particular principle to draw
upon.
For example, we might consider the very destructive
invasive means that are necessary to rid the body of cancer when the growth of the cancer has
advanced beyond a certain point. First of all, when the surgeon opens the body and finds the
cancer, he will not find the cancer loosely attached to the body, but rather, it will be intertwined
with various parts of the body, and it will be clinging to those parts of the body. The surgeon
cannot just grab hold of the cancer and pull it away, expecting it to simply release its grip. No.
The surgeon has to cut the cancer away. And when the cutting action occurs close to healthy
tissue, that healthy tissue will get damaged to some extent. Clearly, many cells of the body will
be destroyed in the procedure. And so it is with the totalitarian forces in Iraq. Once a cancer
has taken hold of a society, and Saddam Hussein and his terror apparatus is certainly analogous
to a cancer, the process of setting the society free, will always carry with it destructive
consequences. This totalitarian cancer has that same quality of intertwining and clinging to its
host, and it will not simply be pulled off. It too must be cut off. And some of the healthy
tissue of the Iraqi society will be damaged. This may well be inescapable. Though one cannot
discount the intercessory power of God our Father under certain conditions.
We are of course chagrined that the person has
allowed that cancer to take hold in the first place, and must now suffer the consequences
associated with removal. Though I am sure that the patient would prefer to bear the pain
associated with liberation, rather than face the consequence of death itself. In this respect, just
as an individual soul can be lost, so too can the collective soul of a culture be destroyed if it is
bowed down under the cancer of oppression for too long.
Of course, it was never the desire of God our Father to
see any of his Children suffer death. That was never part of the plan. But as God our Father
informed Adam and Eve, there are certain consequences associated with eating the fruit from
the forbidden tree, and those consequences are certain death. That's what he said. And
when God speaks, it is very wise to take him seriously. When he says that "you shall surely
die" if you eat the fruit from the forbidden tree, then you can be sure that's exactly what
will happen. Therefore, the consequence for following after the fallen angels, and their
program, symbolized by the forbidden tree, will always be death. And every time a person
dies, for any reason, that death must be put into that context. It is always a consequence of the
original choice to disobey the Law of God. This is true in the broadest possible terms, when
considering that every human being on the planet, if that person continues to cling to the
program of divine disobedience, will suffer death. This is
true for every culture and every nation.
Of course, for the Iraqi people, death is more
pronounced for their society, because they have a fallen angel in charge, who uses death as a
means of control. And because they have allowed the cancer of that fallen angel's
totalitarianism to intertwine itself within the fabric of their culture, more pain and death is
possible when and if an attempt is made to remove that cancer.
God our Father, through the heavenly host has the
power to mitigate the amount of pain and death that will be associated with such an operation.
In anticipating what level of mitigation we can expect, of course this is very difficult to know.
We must understand that this phenomena of death, this certain consequence associated with
disobedience, is allowed by God our Father, not as punishment, but as a teaching device.
When the soul experiences the consequences of its wrong choices, it will eventually learn to
make the right choices. Here, in terms of the people of Iraq, the judgment has already been
made by God our Father in this respect, some thirty years ago, and the people of every nation
should take heed. God's Judgment was this: "You lust after the ways of the fallen angels so
much, especially in regards to their ways of hatred and strife, you will now have an opportunity
to live under the rule of one of them, and with very little mitigation from me. Let's see how
you like it." And of course, the fallen angels always terrorize and murder the people, and
deliver great pain upon them. And when the Children of God suffer in this manner for one or
two or three lifetimes, or more, a certain logic is eventually built up within their souls, that it
might be better to find their way back to God, rather than to live under the rulership of God's
enemies.
Now, in terms of the level of mitigation that the
people of Iraq will receive, when it comes to their day of liberation, the question in God's mind
will be this. Have the Iraqi people suffered enough, that they will think twice, or three times,
before allowing themselves to come under the control of a dictator again? As it stands now,
Saddam Hussein has murdered outright 200,000 of Iraq's best citizens, i.e. those with spine,
and a love for freedom. And several million have been forced into exile. And of course, many
hundreds of thousands have perished in the wars that Saddam Hussein initiated. So, has the
collective soul of the Iraqi people had enough of terror, death, and destruction at the hands of a
fallen angel? Are they ready to seize the opportunity for freedom, and self-rule, that is at their
very doorstep? The level of mitigation that God will allow, in terms of the pain and death that
he will actually authorize the Heavenly Host to block, will depend on his assessment of the
Iraqi
soul in this regard.
While we do not know what level of mitigation the
Iraqi people deserve when it comes to the operation that will finally liberate them, we do know
this much. In light of what the Masters have said, it is clear that the timetable of suffering for
the Iraqi people is in large measure over. Their suffering has gone far enough, and their day of
liberation is long past nigh. President George W. Bush is their liberator, and he will see to it
that they are set free.
So, let us consider the answer to the rhetorical
question posed by the aforementioned Keeper of the Flame:
"After all, what is the logic, pray tell me, of bombing, maiming and
killing people (Kurds, Shiites, sunnites, and other children of God in Iraq, the first victims of
the fallen one Saddam Hussein, indeed), so that they can be free? Am I the only one that finds
this "just a tad" preposterous?"
The answer to this question concerning what is the
logic of these deaths, would be found, to this Keeper's surprise I am sure, in the minds of those
Ascended Masters who, in 1991, advocated the use of military force to secure the freedom of
the people of Iraq then. It is a divine logic. And if she thinks that such logic is "preposterous",
well then, she has adopted a posture that allows her to look at the content of the mind of an
Ascended Master as "preposterous" without being aware in the slightest degree, that it is her
position that is actually out of kilter when seen from the perspective of the divine mind.
I think that if one has any desire within oneself to
honor the words of the Ascended Masters, then you would have to agree that such a posture of
mind that would allow such a question to be posed in the first place, represents a very
substantial out-of-alignment condition.
She is obviously mistaken in her belief that the
only freedom the Ascended Masters support, is freedom that can be won without anyone getting
a scratch. I think we can all agree, that if this principle were universally applicable, all the
fallen angels would have to do to make sure that the condition of freedom was never secured
anywhere on the planet, would be to make sure that someone (or rather lots of people) would
always get grievously hurt whenever any effort to secure their freedom was initiated. Check
out what the Chinese Communists did to the democracy demonstrators in Tiananmen Square
in 1989. The message is clear. If you want freedom, we are going to make you pay a high
price. That's called deterrence. And their client state, Communist North Korea, has taken
that principle to even greater extremes. Their military buildup along the demilitarized zone
threatens the death of tens of thousands of South Koreans if any attempt were made to
challenge their hold on the North. And of course, that has been the totalitarian strategy from
the very beginning of time, and it keeps a great number of people in a very timid, bowed down,
and non challenging posture, so much so, that the people who have been programmed with this
fear fear of this pain that the fallen angels threaten to inflict on anyone who will stand
up for freedom will exhibit a very strange and twisted behavior indeed, being actually
enthusiastic in their mockery and derision of those who would stand up in favor of
freedom. (But these people don't see the freedom, they only see the pain). And that's what you
see around the world today. That's why President George W. Bush is an object of derision.
Actually, it isn't anything personal. That derision is actually focused on the Ascended Master
St. Germain, the Chohan of the Seventh Ray, Hierarch of the Aquarian Age, who is the sponsor
of all efforts to secure freedom in this age.
Parenthetically, it is worth noting here, that in the
fallen state, the fallen soul has no direct access to pure spiritual light. All access to pure
spiritual light is through the mediatorship of the Ascended Masters, and especially the Chohans
of the Rays. What this means, is that if an individual has a love for freedom, we are actually
experiencing, in that individual, an example of the intercessory sponsorship of this Seventh Ray
Master.
And therefore, I would ask you, after first setting aside
this fear, what better way for the United States of America to start out the Age of Aquarius,
than to outpicture St. Germain's clearly stated vision of freedom for the Iraqi people? In as
much as the nation of Iraq occupies that geographic location that served as the very cradle of
civilization, at least for the current epoch of recorded history, we may find that the securing of
the flame of freedom for this area, might actually be an important part of the plan for the
spread of the Golden Age across the entire planet. This is
worth considering.
This principle, which originates in the mind of the
Ascended Masters, that it is lawful to use military force to secure the freedom of the people,
notwithstanding the loss of innocent life, expressed in the context of the original Gulf War, can
be, and should be, directly translated to the current situation.
And this is all the more true, because the accuracy of
U.S. weapons today, is ten times better than it was in 1991, which means far fewer innocent
lives will be lost in this effort, than would have been the case in 1991. In 1991, the U.S.
Military used 10% smart bombs, and 90% dumb bombs. Today, it is 95% smart bombs, and
only 5% dumb bombs. That means that military targets can be hit much more accurately with
far fewer bombs, than was the case in 1991, and that means far fewer innocent civilians will
lose their lives in the upcoming war effort.
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph,
is for good men to do
nothing.
Edmund Burke
I will leave you with the previously quoted statement
by The Fourteen Ascended Masters who Govern the Destiny of America:
"Look at the Afghans. Look at the Kurds. Look at the Iraqis. Look
at the little peoples everywhere on earth year by year and decade by decade!
How are we to direct the course of this nation or any nation when you the people
of Light have allowed these fallen ones to remain in positions of power?"
(Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 34 No. 19, May 12, 1991)
I hope those members of this organization who are
loyal to the heart of St. Germain, and to the principle of freedom itself, will speak up, and
reverse the current anti-war trend within the student body. A recent pronouncement from
headquarters that this organization should not take sides in this situation, especially in light of
what the Masters themselves have said on this subject, was very unproductive to say the least.
Decree inserts should boldly call for the victory of the U.S. led effort to set the Iraqi people
free. Decreeing against war in this situation, or decreeing for "peace" in this situation, is like
trying to keep the surgeon out of the operating room. The cancer must be removed. The Iraqi
people must be set free. The health of the Iraqi soul requires it.
All who oppose the effort to set the Iraqi people free
from Saddam Hussein are aligning themselves with what the Masters have clearly referred to as
the spirit of betrayal, and this alignment, according to the words of the Ascended Masters as
noted above, will result in an enormous karmic debt entered onto their record book. And one
can only wonder how such a debt can be balanced. It may be a debt that will eliminate any
possibility of the student making his or her ascension in this life. I say this, because I can't
imagine that any student who is not in alignment with the heart of St. Germain, and not tuned
into the importance of freedom could ever be considered a candidate for the ascension. Such a
state of non-alignment would appear to me to require further experience in the physical octave
whereby a true love for liberty could be instilled in the psychology of the soul, and the
parameters of such an experience would not be very hard to predict.
If this applies to you, I would simply say, that it would
be wise to resolve this conflict with the heart of the sponsor of freedom now, when the issue is
clearly at the forefront of your attention. If you let it slip by, you may find yourself, by and
by, embedded in the more arduous circumstances implied above.
