There appears to be some confusion within this organization concerning the identity of those who march in the streets against the impending U.S. led effort to set the Iraqi people free from the brutal tyranny of Saddam Hussein. This confusion stems from the fact that there are still some within this very organization who are themselves against this war effort, and because of this, they identify with the street demonstrators. So much so, that they are openly applauding them.

     Now, these individuals have heretofore considered themselves members of St. Germain's Choir of Freedom, and they take great offense when they are accused of being totally insensitive to the primary issue, which is the freedom of the Iraqi people. One Keeper of the Flame expressed this offense in a very interesting way, which provided this important opportunity (to write this article) to draw a sharp contrast between those across the planetary body who comprise the Choirs of Freedom and Light, and those who comprise the Choirs of Slavery and Darkness:

"I see that you still insist that those of us who do not want a US full-scale invasion on Iraq are somehow, out of alignment ... A bit of unsolicited advice, Steven: be careful when talking about courage and defending freedom. You might find yourself preaching to the choir ..."

     Now, as noted above, there are two choirs on planet earth.

     One choir, which sings in harmony with the Heavenly Host, sing the songs of true soul freedom. These are the Forces of Light.

     The other choir, which sings in harmony with the hordes of death and hell, and the croaking choruses of the astral plane generally, sing the songs of true soul enslavement. These are the Forces of Darkness.

     The Ascended Masters try to teach the little children what songs are songs of Darkness (soul enslavement), and what songs are songs of Light (soul freedom), and of course, when they learn their lessons well, mastering the songs of freedom, they are invited to join the heavenly choirs.

     And this learning and testing process is important, because we know that sound has power. If the little children can be taught to sing the songs of darkness, what they have been taught is how to invoke their own spiritual destruction. On the other hand, if the little children can be taught to sing the songs of Light, what they have been taught is how to maintain their own integrity, their own life, and their own freedom in the Light.

     It is clear, and this should not be any surprise to anyone, that the little children who have gathered at the feet of the Ascended Masters to learn the songs of soul freedom, have not thoroughly, nor completely mastered their lessons. Sometimes they skip a beat, or two, or three. Sometimes they sing off key. Sometimes they sing sharp, and sometimes they sing flat. And sometimes they even launch, in full voice, into songs that emerge out of their electronic belt, and they belt out these old and deeply ingrained tunes with great gusto, and in as much as they are all wrapped up in the self-righteous passions associated with these old tunes, they are not really sensitive to the fact that they are clashing in a very discordant manner with the mathematics and harmonies associated with the chords of liberty. In these cases, the Choir Director must preach to the choir for the purpose of restoring harmony. And in this respect, the members of the choir, the little children, need to set aside their pride, and listen to first principles once again.

     Of course, God our Father is the ultimate Choir Director, though the little children cannot see him, or hear him. For the time being, our Heavenly Father has sent the Ascended Masters to take his place as substitute choir directors. And the choir sounds really fine as long as the little children incline their ears and their eyes in the appropriate direction. But they can get distracted, for a wide variety of reasons, and when that happens, it is left to the members of the choir itself to plow a sharp elbow into the ribs of their off-key brethren. What other choice do we have? Certainly we cannot live with the situation where some members of the Choir of Freedom, are tapping their toes to the beat of soul enslavement, and singing four-part harmonies with demons on the astral plane, can we? Of course not.

     And so, in regards to the issue at hand, the all important question is this. Were the tens of thousands, and in some cases hundreds of thousands of people, who marched in the streets over the weekend of February 15, 2003, in opposition to the imminent war to topple Saddam Hussein, singing the songs of Light and Freedom, or were they singing the songs of Darkness and soul enslavement? And of course, when it comes to those who stood on the sidelines, who felt a deep and passionate affinity to the songs that were sung, and applauded with great hurrahs, were these people applauding songs of Light and Freedom, or were they applauding the songs of Darkness and soul enslavement?

     Let us review some fundamental principles here. When it comes to what the Ascended Masters have taught us, what have they taught us concerning the Choirs of Darkness? What groups constitute the Choirs of Darkness, and what songs do the Choirs of Darkness sing?

     The songs of darkness includes the songs of Communism, the songs of Socialism, the songs of Anarchy, the songs of Secular Humanism, the songs of Materialism, the songs of Atheism, the songs of Agnosticism, the songs of Pacifism, the songs of Abortion Advocacy, the songs of Homosexual Advocacy, the songs of Drug Legalization, the songs of Licentiousness generally, and more recently the songs of Psychic Entanglement, and UFO and Extraterrestrial Adoration.

     These are the songs the Choirs of Darkness sing day and night.

     Now, I admit, that it would not be accurate to say that these are the songs that were being sung (at least not in literal form) at the massive peace demonstrations on February 15, 2003. But that is not the point. This is the important point. The core groups who organized these peace demonstrations, and the people who actually participated in these peace demonstrations, normally spend their lives as members of the Choir of Darkness, singing the aforementioned songs of darkness, day in and day out. These are the songs they spend their lives singing before they arrived at these peace demonstrations, and these are the songs they returned to singing, when they left those peace demonstrations.

     And this is the most important question. Would the members of the Choirs of Darkness go to all the trouble to organize these massive world events, and would they participate in these events, if these events were designed to bring people together to sing the songs of Light and Freedom?

     This is simply impossible. I know you have heard the old adage about the leopard and his spots, and whether these spots can change. It is an apt adage for this situation. Here, we are being asked to believe that the day before these demonstrations, the leopard had black spots. On the next day, when these leopards arrived at the demonstrations, they are supposed to be pure white albino cats. And on the day after the demonstrations, they were back to their old selves, and their black spots. Sorry, such transformations occur only in the land of fiction and fantasy.

     Given the nature of the people who organized these events, and who participated in these events, it is simply not within the realm of the possible that they would raise up a banner championing the Will of God, or give the world an opportunity to rally around such a banner. They are Enemies of the Light. They dedicate their lives to destroying God's Plan and Purpose, and sincerely so, each in their own particular way. The words of Jesus Christ come to mind here, which speak to this particular question (from Matthew 7:16-20):

"Beware of false prophets [and the followers of false prophets], which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [Can you pick a grape off a thorn bush? Can you pick a fig from a thistle tree?] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

     Here we see that a "corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit." Here are the corrupt trees: Communism, Socialism, Anarchy, Secular Humanism, Godless Materialism, Atheism, Agnosticism, Pacifism, Abortion Rights, Homosexual Rights, Drug Legalization, Licentiousness generally, Psychic Entanglement, and UFO and Extraterrestrial Adoration. The activist proponents of all of these chords of darkness would have us believe that they all got together, and conspired to bring forth a radiant flower of divine peace. The words of the Ascended Master Jesus Christ tell us that this is simply not possible.

     Now, all of God's Children are welcome in this organization. And many of these come fresh from past alliances with the political left, in this life, or in past lives. And they have records in their electronic belts which reflect experiences of great passionate camaraderie with these progenitors of darkness, and when these instigators of darkness take to the streets in the present day, and sing their tunes, some people (within this organization) will find some affinity to what they are hearing. Well, I would counsel them not to follow after those vibrations.

     Again, those who spend their lives advocating Communism, Socialism, Anarchy, Secular Humanism, Godless Materialism, Atheism, Agnosticism, Pacifism, Abortion Rights, Homosexual Rights, Drug Legalization, Licentiousness generally, Psychic Entanglement, and UFO and Extraterrestrial Adoration, are not all going to come together to sing a song of adoration to any divine principle. This simply is not going to happen. When they gravitate passionately to a cause, you can be sure that the cause has something to do with delivering a sharp and stinging poke into the very eye of God our Father. You can be sure of it.

     Now, let me quickly touch on the reason that I have included the songs of socialism within the repertoire of the Choirs of Darkness. And this is important, because this is what explains the very large majorities in Europe who are against the effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power. Some may be unaware of this, but the beast of socialism, and the beast of World Communism, are one beast. This is what the Ascended Masters have taught us for many years. Just a couple of quick examples of that Teaching:

From Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 30 No. 39, Beloved Mother Mary - September 27, 1987: "Socialism then Communism becomes the answer for those who do not have the integrating principle of Life, those who once had it and then lost it for want of a continuing affirmation of God. Beware, then, lest the mental body or the carnal mind or even the animal mind and its instincts replace the creative Mind of God within you."

Vol. 34 No. 21 - Beloved Hilarion - May 26, 1991 Vol. 34 No. 21 - Beloved Hilarion - May 26, 1991: "How shall there be a chalice of light when the light is gone out in those who have not kept, as wise virgins, the light of the sacred fire? How can it be, beloved, that a social gospel and even the advocacy of socialism and World Communism does replace the true spirit of individualism, which Jesus taught? Let charity abound but let not the Vicar of Christ promote World Socialism as the leveling of wealth and as the means to the ascent of the soul! It is good and necessary to feed the poor and clothe the naked, to do all these things but not to do so by mandatory state socialism. This is a betrayal of the true teaching of Jesus Christ and the parable of the talents. Let each one multiply his light and substance and share it with all. Let freedom in the economy and freedom in government and freedom within the Church prevail, as each individual is accountable to his God."

     For decades, the free European nations have built, by their own free will, socialism, that cradle to the grave care of the state for the citizen. And this is the mindset of the majority of people in Europe. They are immersed in this darkness, and because of this, they are tools of the larger forces of darkness that would use them to secure the survival of that bastion of Iraqi style socialism under the regime of terror led by Saddam Hussein. This doesn't get much press, but the agenda of Saddam Hussein's Baath Arab Socialist party is Socialism. So there is an ideological link, a certain resonance with the populations of Europe, i.e. what you would call the old Europe, ironically those populations who survived the Soviet threat under America's Nuclear umbrella for the past 50 years. In other words, those whom the United States protected from being overrun by the Soviet Union, used all of that time and opportunity to build what? To build socialism. And once the Cold War is finally over, and they are not threatened by the Soviet Union anymore, and they have an actual opportunity to participate in the overturning of an actual condition of oppression in another country, what do they do? They block the way.

     As I have noted before, and I will repeat myself here, (because this broader perspective is important), is that these peace demonstrators actually represent that segment of the population in every nation that would gladly and passionately serve in the apparatus of any totalitarian government that could be established in their respective countries. This is exactly how these peace demonstrators should be seen. Remember, totalitarian governments need a certain number and a certain type of people to actually run the show. In this respect, it is no coincidence that the core organizers of all of these peace demonstrating events were the Communists and the Anarchists in each of these nations. And these crowds of people that march behind these peace banners, are the exact kinds of people who made up the overall Communist Party ruling apparatus in every nation that has heretofore been enslaved by Communism in the history of the world, including in present day North Korea, Vietnam, China, and Cuba. These are the kinds of people that made up the ruling apparatus within Hitler's Third Reich. These are the kinds of people who made up the ruling apparatus within Mussolini's Italy. They have no heart-felt allegiance to any kind of divine principle. While the great majority of these are certainly not passionate about any kind of totalitarian ideology, being very mindless about governance issues generally, the important thing to understand about them is that they are totally and completely driven by a fear saturated psychology, and because of this, they are the very first people to toe the line, and march in step, when their former comrades take out their guns and start pointing them at the head of anyone who would stand up to oppose them. In other words, once the champions of liberty have been swept aside, the core totalitarians will grab the reigns of power, and the way they organize their new enlightened government is by fear and terror. If you don't do what they want, they will simply pull the trigger and step over your body. And those whose identities are defined by fear will never stand their ground against this kind of threat. They will become the willing instruments of the core totalitarians. And I have used the word "willing" on purpose. Sure, as it stands today, if you ask any of these peace demonstrators whether they would support a totalitarian form of government in their own country, they would say "No." But the key fact about a fear driven psychology is that you can turn the allegiance of these individuals by the force of fear alone. For example, in one moment you can ask them what they think about Communism, and they will say, "I don't know what that is." When you point a gun to their head and tell them they must love Communism, or die, the next three words out of their mouths will be "I Love Communism." The ideology does not matter. Their allegiance will turn in whatever direction the force of fear directs.

     So, when we see these masses of peace demonstrators snaking through the streets, we do not see a river of Light, which would be a river of love for liberty, but a river of Darkness, which would be simply a river of fear. In fact we should visualize these people using the Charlie Brown character, "Pig Pen", as model. That was the character who carried a large cloud of dust around with him everywhere he went. And when thousands of the them gather together, the thickness of the cloud of dust becomes like that which we saw when the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Remember those boiling clouds of dust that rolled down the streets? And when the cloud enveloped you, that all of the lights went out? From the perspective of heaven, that is exactly the atmosphere of astral pollution and debris that enfolds these peace marchers. There is absolutely no light anywhere evident at street level.

     These are the kinds of people who are surrounding the dictator Saddam Hussein today. These are the people who terrorize the general Iraqi public on orders from the power center. Why don't they resist? Why don't they stand up for principle? Why don't they act against Saddam Hussein? It is because their minds are engulfed in a cloud of astral smoke and dust. That is what fear is, and when it comes to taking any action based on principle, which would challenge the one who holds the lever of fear over them, their feet are literally frozen to the ground. They cannot move. Though if they are told to go out and commit any kind of crime, or else lose their own lives, all of a sudden their feet are free and moving. In the aftermath, they all like to say, "I was only following orders".

     Finally, the movements of greatest darkness that the Ascended Masters have identified so far, are those associated with the advocacy of Communism, Abortion Rights, and Homosexual Rights. Take the time to find out for yourself how uniformly the advocates of these major positions of Darkness, are also advocates of the peace position in regards to Saddam Hussein. It is safe to say that 99% of the members of each of these movements, i.e. Communists, Abortion advocates, Homosexual advocates, are also passionately opposed to the effort to set the Iraqi people free from Saddam Hussein.

     Now, if you were a member of the general public, I would imagine that these facts wouldn't have any significant impact on you one way or the other. But if you are a member of this organization, and you purport to align yourself with the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, and you purport to align yourself to their purposes and plans, you of all people should be seriously concerned about the fact that you find part of yourself in alignment with the position taken by 99% of those who the Ascended Masters consider to be the greatest enemies of the Light on the planet.
