Many of those who oppose President Bush's effort to
rally the nation around a pre-emptive strike against Saddam Hussein's treacherous, murderous,
tyrannical, and terror sponsoring dictatorship, fear that any such move in that direction will
result in an explosion of anti-American sentiment in the region, leading to a wider war.
For example, in response to my previous article, "Duty, Honor, Country the Case for Ousting
Saddam Hussein", a reader wrote:
"You have to be kidding me! You cannot think a God of infinite love
would want a world war for our planet! Please what are you saying?"
Her use of the term "world war" illustrates of my
point. She sees a rather monumental conflagration resulting from America's effort to oust
Saddam Hussein.
Now, it is not my intent here to make light of her fear
in this regard, which I believe is sincere, but to set forth those principles that will help her, and
others of like mind, understand why it is, that in the light of divine truth, that such fears are
completely unfounded.
First, on an individual basis, when we do our absolute
best to do our duty before God, then we are taught that the next step is to Trust in God, that He
will take care of everything else. This is really basic to all religions. Human beings, as a
general rule, never go into situations with a certain idea of the outcome. This is because the
mortal mind, having seperated itself from the radiance of the divine mind, is ruled by doubt.
In this condition we always enter into great challenges beset by uncertainties. But, as a tried
and true divine methodology for overcoming doubt, the children of the Most High are taught to
first make a mighty effort to discern what the Will of God requires in a given situation, in as
much as we are not robots, and we cannot expect God to tell us exactly what to do. Having
freewill means deciding for ourselves what the right course of action is in a given situation.
And if we are going to make right decisions, we must apply to each situation, our best
understanding of God's purpose and plan for our lives, for our nation, and for all nations.
Once we have determined what the right course of
action is in a given situation, the next step is simply to do the right thing, regardless of
whatever doubts may be expressed by the people around us, or whatever doubts that fly up from
the depths of our own subconscious. In the childhood phase of our spiritual development, we
have no choice but to move forward on the basis of faith, that God will bless our efforts.
But, as we put this way of living into practice over the
course of many years, our faith is reinforced by knowledge, as we experience the Hand of God
clearing the way before us in all the areas of our lives.
Now, this principle applies to the actions that nations
take on the world scene. When a nation makes a decision on a particular course of action,
based on the people's best assessment of what will best serve the purposes and plans of God for
the nation, and the planet, then they must move forward with confidence, that all of the
uncertainties will be resolved by God. The motto of America is after all, "In God We Trust."
What does that mean? It means that we Trust that God will support us when we make a
concerted effort to implement his will in this world of darkness.
Now, if we are absolutely convinced that the removal
of Saddam Hussein from power is congruent with God's purpose and plan for America, and the
world, then we must move forward with absolute confidence, that God will take care of all
extraneous circumstances, i.e. to the maximum extent the karma of the nation will allow.
I am personally convinced, without the presence of
any doubt in my mind whatsoever, that it is God's desire for the people of America to use the
power that He has given them, to remove that dictator Saddam Hussein from power, and to set
the Iraqi people free. From this absolute conviction within my heart, I can extend an absolute
guarantee to the reader, that this action will not result in the eruption of a wider war in the
Middle East, let alone a world war. The Heavenly Host will hold the balance in all the nations
of the Middle East, administering a spiritually based anesthesia for a time, to make sure that
the passions of the people are held in check for the time it takes to remove Saddam Hussein
from power. I guarantee you that this will be the case. God will not abandon us.
I would remind you, that the same dire predictions of a
wider war were made before the Gulf War in 1991, when war was contemplated as the only
means of removing the armies of Saddam Hussein from Kuwait. The reason that that war went
so smoothly, in relative terms, and that there was no eruption of any kind of a conflagration
within the Middle East, was for the simple reason that the Heavenly Host held the balance.
And they did that, because it was God's Will that the Kuwaiti people be allowed to live as a
sovereign and independent state, and that her people be given the opportunity to continue their
gradual march towards democratic reform. And it is no coincidence, that in the aftermath of
that particular action, that we had the most substantial opening for a peace plan between the
Palestinians and the Israelis (Oslo accords 1993) in the history of the region.
The aforementioned reader makes a reference to our
Heavenly Father as a God of infinite love. And that is exactly right. But make note of this,
that out of that love, God has a vision of infinite goodness for each nation of the earth. And
that vision includes freedom. God's infinite love for the people of the United States of
America manifests as a desire for their eternal freedom. God's infinite love for the people of
Great Brittian manifests as a desire for their eternal freedom. God's infinite love for the people
of Canada, Mexico, and all the nations of South America, manifests as a desire for their eternal
freedom. God's infinite love for the people of Germany, France, and Italy and all the nations of
Europe, and all the
nations which made up the old Soviet Union, manifests as a desire for their eternal freedom.
God's infinite love for the people in all the nations of Africa, all the nations of South America,
all the nations of Southeast Asia, all the nations around the Pacific Rim, including China, and
all the nations of the Middle East, including Iraq, manifests as a desire for their eternal
freedom. God holds out this vision of freedom for every nation. And that vision is backed up
by a desire of infinite proportions, a desire that flows along as part of the infinite river of God's
infinite love, that presses through the hearts, minds and souls of each member of the Heavenly
Host, and it can press through the hearts, minds, and souls of the Children of God on earth as
well, in accordance with their desire to harmonize their vision with the vision of God, and to
merge their own desiring into the desiring of God their Heavenly Father.
Tyranny is no part of God's desiring for any nation.
All modalities of tyranny are the creation of minds that are absorbed into the vibratory region
of absolute evil, minds that are immersed in a hatred for God, and of his plans, and of his
desirings, and of his visions for His people.
Therefore, those who are evil incarnate on this planet,
have an altogether different vision for the nations of the world. They have a vision of control.
They have a vision that sees the children of God enslaved, and working under the boot of their
arrogant ambitions, and the way in which they fulfill that vision is through terror, through fear,
through violence, through aggression, through war.
When a fallen angel rises up within a nation, and fills
a number of people with the passion for aggression, for murder, and for the enslavement of
entire societies, it is well to wonder, who will it be, who has the courage to stand up and oppose
their evil plans? Who will it be, other than the children of God on earth, who will safeguard
God's vision of freedom for a particular area threatened by the tyrannical designs of an evil
mind? If the children of God do not stand up and oppose such designs, there will be no one to
oppose them.
It is clear, that the tyrant Saddam Hussein, using
terror, murder, intimidation, fear, and violence, stole God's vision of freedom for that nation
right out of the hands of the Iraqi people. No one was able to stand in his way. All who tried
were unmercifully mowed down.
Today, current circumstances have arranged
themselves in a such a way, as to bring the issue of the enslavement of the Iraqi people under
the tyrant Saddam Hussein front and center on the world stage once again. These auspicious
circumstances present us with an opportunity to restore God's vision of freedom for the Iraqi
people. Opportunities are like doors. They open and they close. In 1991, the door opened, but
the opportunity to remove Saddam Hussein was ignored, and as a result, the Iraqi people
suffered 11 more years of enslavement. The door is now opening again. We must take
advantage of the opportunity presented to re-establish God's vision of freedom for the people of
Iraq. This is our duty, as the children of God, as implementers of God's vision of freedom for
the nations.
To be sure, God has a vision of peace for every nation.
But his vision of peace is founded on a more fundamental vision of freedom. Free nations do
not attack each other. Free nations live in harmony with each other. Free nations are able to
keep the peace among themselves. It is the tyrants of this world who channel the energies of
their people into aggressive plans and designs. Tyrannies are therefore, electrodes of
Anti-Peace on the planet. And there are no exceptions to this rule. (No, not even China).
If people want to get together and pray for peace in the
current situation, I say, more power to them. But let them understand that God will answer
those prayers by inspiring a greater adherence to the Spirit of Liberty in the hearts and minds
of his children. God is not going to send his angels to instill in people a betrayal of his desire
for the freedom of the Iraqi people. God is not going to send his angels out into the world to
obscure the peoples ability to access God's vision of a free Iraq. When the Holy Angels visit
George W. Bush, they are going to leave him with a greater desire to set the people of Iraq free.
Therefore, the only chance for peace in this situation, is if Saddam Hussein listens to the
mighty Angels of Liberty that God will send to his side. They will say to Saddam, "Your time
is up, and your day is over. Let our people go." Will Saddam Hussein respect the wishes of
God communicated to him through these Holy Angels? If he does, and steps down,
transferring power into the hand of an interim government that is committed to the
establishment of an Iraqi democracy, and goes into exile, the threat of war will have passed,
and that would be a good thing.
If Saddam Hussein ignores the wishes of God, and this
is the more likely outcome, then the responsibility for physcially removing him from power
will fall to the children of God, as they are God's direct representatives in the physical octave.
By taking advantage of this opportunity to serve God's
vision of freedom for the Iraqi people, by stepping forth and making the sacrifice that this will
require, our God of infinite love, will use some of that infinite love to make sure that our
efforts will result in victory, i.e. in the actual freedom of the Iraqi people, and not in some kind
of catastrophic conflagration of world war.
Moreover, the Heavenly Host will use our noble
efforts in this regard to facilitate the establishment of Iraq as an actual citadel of freedom in the
very heart of the Middle East, which will result in the eventual downfall of all the tyrannies in
that region. In other words, the breath of freedom that will blow as a strong wind out of Iraq
will touch the hearts of all the people in the Middle East, and their aspirations toward
democracy will grow, highlighting in a manner that only this kind of circumstance could bring
forth, the fact of their own enslavement under their own home grown tyrants. This will
completely take the winds out of the sails of those purveyors of tyranny who are continually
trying to make Israel and the United States a scapegoat for the problems in their own countries.
The people of these nations will for the first time see America as a force for freedom. Their
Iraqi brothers are actually free! This is no movie, this is reality! And the tyrants that rule over
them will all of sudden stand out in the sharpest relief against that backdrop, clearly visible
over and above the illusions of confusion which had heretofore been sown into their minds, and
they will realize that they are being oppressed by the tyrants that stand over them, from the
sanctified halls of their own capitols! And the first nation to bare the brunt of this new wind of
liberty will be Iran, whose people are already marching in the streets for more freedom. When
the dictator Saddam Hussein falls, and liberty reigns in neighboring Iraq, the Iranian people
will say, "That's what we want. And that's what we're going to have. Good bye Ayatollahs, and
good riddance!"
Make no mistake about it. God will use America's
effort to set the Iraqi people free to bring about a mighty movement for freedom throughout the
Middle East.
Trust in God. Trust in God's monumental desire for
the freedom of his children. And trust that God will support and bless and multiply all efforts
to set his children free.
