Behind the benign facade presented by the Temple of the Presence there is a lurking beast of darkness which is intent on bringing about the demise of the Summit Lighthouse and Church Universal and Triumphant. It is important for the members of this organization to come to grips with this fact.

     The Shearer's manage to keep a pretty mask on that beast most of the time, but on occasion its snarling teeth shows through. There is one example of the snarling teeth of this beast showing through that has incredibly far ranging implications for this organization, and it has to do with the teaching promulgated by the Temple of the Presence in regards to the Judgment Calls given to this church by the Ascended Master Jesus Christ.

     A Temple of the Presence devotee, writing under the name of "A Canadian Chela", posted an essay on Allen Burez's Ascension Research Center Web Site entitled "My Unintended 12 Day Vacation In Vermont", in which he described his first experiences with the Temple of the Presence. The following excerpt refers to the issue of the Judgment Calls:

One day we had a lunch banquet in the Sanctuary and as I passed Monroe he invited me to sit with he and Carolyn. We spoke of various things and then of "The Judgment Call" (I will mention that Linda emailed me one day telling me that she was sending me an unedited tape Discourse of Monroe's. I told her I had not requested it and perhaps she had me mistaken with someone else. Linda's reply was that Monroe said "What CD's does he have?" Linda replied and he said - "Send him the two tapes on the second part of the Judgment Series - he will need it to tell his friends [from CUT]". Well, I had not told Monroe about that - but he seemed to know something I didn't.) During lunch he answered a pointed question of mine.

Briefly, my question to him was "Was it Jesus who Dictated the Judgment Call and Dweller Call?" He paused because he was going to give me a long discourse - but instead he answered "No." He surprised me, but he knew I needed to hear the truth instead of a bunch of dancing around. I thanked him and thanked him.

     The Ascended Master Jesus Christ dictated what has become our 20.07 Judgment Call, "They Shall Not Pass", through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet on August 6, 1978. That dictation was published in two parts in Pearls of Wisdom, Vol. 21, No. 32, and No. 33. Both are available on Pearls Online.

     Now, Monroe Shearer says that Jesus Christ did not dictate that judgment call. That begs the obvious question. If Jesus Christ did not dictate that judgment call, then who was it that dictated that judgment call? There are two possibilities. If Jesus Christ did not dictate it, then either Elizabeth Clare Prophet created it herself, and delivered it (deceptively) as a dictation, or some other kind of entity, other than an Ascended Master, was speaking through her on that occasion, and she herself was deceived into delivering a message from astral realms, instead of from Ascended Master realms. We would do well to soberly reflect upon the poisonous implications of either of these two possibilities.

     Now, if this was a one time event in which Elizabeth Clare Prophet consciously deceived the congregation, or was herself deceived into delivering a message from astral realms instead of from Ascended Master realms, that would be one thing. But the seriousness of the issue grows exponentially with each additional subsequent reference to the original (allegedly) false message.

     Let us consider each and every dictation in which the Judgment call is subsequently referred to. This is very important to do, because, if the original release of the Judgment Call was a false message, given either deceptively, or by an astral entity, then it must follow that every subsequent reference to it is either an additional deception, or an additional reference by an astral entity. This has to be true, because if the original release was a false message, a bonafide Ascended Master would never add any credence to it be referring to it again in a positive manner.

     And looking at all of the subsequent references to the original (allegedly) false message, this is the question that would be in the mind of any reasonable person: If Elizabeth Clare Prophet was so prone to either deception, or being herself deceived by astral entities, how can you trust anything delivered through her?

     The following list of pearls was derived from four (4) searches conducted on Pearls Online, using the following four keyword phrases, 80 pearls matching the query "judgment call", 41 pearls matching the query "judgment calls", 5 pearls matching the query "calls for the judgment", and 68 pearls matching the query "call for the judgment".

     As you can see, this subject of the Judgment Call was woven into the very core teaching of this church, with references made in one-hundred and fifty three (153) separate pearls, by a wide range of Ascended Masters, over a period of about 22 years.

     Look at this list of pearls and Ascended Masters, and ask yourself, this question: If all of these pearls have to be set aside because of their corrupted nature, and they would have to be, because each of them makes enthusiastic reference to a Judgment Call that Monroe Shearer says was NOT dictated by Jesus Christ, then on what basis, pray tell, can you tell a real Ascended Master dictation from a false dictation in the larger body of work? If Elizabeth Clare Prophet was so comfortable deceiving the children of God in these areas, then where exactly did she shut off her desire to deceive? Or, alternatively, if Elizabeth Clare Prophet was so easily deceived into delivering dictations by astral entities in all of these instances, then where exactly did she garner the discernment necessary to attune to Ascended Master realms?

     This is the bottom line: If what Monroe Shearer says is true, then the entire body of work by Elizabeth Clare Prophet is revealed to be so hopelessly riddled with doubt and confusion regarding its veracity, that no sincere student, in his or her right mind, would dare spend any amount of time trying to digest it. You'd be better off spending your evenings watching reruns of Saturday Night Live.

     To grasp the true ramifications of this, take the time to read the name of each master in the list, and speak the word "fraud" after each name.

     If you do this, it will be easy for you to understand that with this one statement by Monroe Shearer, coupled with his passionate teaching against the use of Judgment Calls in general --- a prohibition that would include every form of judgment call in use by Church Universal and Triumphant --- the Temple of the Presence strikes a fatal blow at the very heart of the body of Teaching delivered through Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

     And this of course is exactly the intent of the false hierarchy which hides behind the smiling faces of Monroe and Carolyn Shearer, and their devotees. They desire for the Teachings of the Ascended Masters to fall into the dust of ill repute.

     And it is no coincidence that an organization backed and sponsored by the false hierarchy would go for the juggler in this respect, because it is the Judgment Calls themselves, delivered into our hands by real Ascended Masters, which are primarily directed at the dismantling of the false hierarchy! Don't go by this point too quickly. If the Temple of the Presence is a false hierarchy organization, then it would make perfect sense that it would use that organization as a tool to reach out and defeat what is the greatest threat to its existence, i.e. the use of Judgment Calls by real students of real Ascended Masters.

     Let the members of this organization then, stop sitting on the sidelines, or on the fence, in regards to the Temple of the Presence. It is essential to comprehend the fact that there is no middle ground here, because what is involved here are two diametrically opposed opposite quantities. On the one hand, to embrace the Teachings delivered through Elizabeth Clare Prophet, one must reject what is coming through the Shearers, for the simple reason that the Shearers themselves reject Elizabeth Clare Prophet as a valid messenger. On the other hand, and along that same line of thought, to embrace the Shearers, is to embrace a belief that 30 years of dictations delivered through Elizabeth Clare Prophet are not worth the paper they are written on. For this precise reason, the members of this organization have got to stop dabbling in the illusion that the Temple of the Presence is a benign organization. How could it be benign when its leader promulgates a position that requires sincere students to reject the entire body of work delivered through Elizabeth Clare Prophet?

     And therefore, let the members of this organization stop dabbling in the illusion that the Ascended Masters who sponsor this organization, might also sponsor that organization. They do not. How could they sponsor an organization that is devoted to destroying the legacy of Elizabeth Clare Prophet? It is impossible.

     Dabbling in these patterns of sympathy, is like sipping from a cup of poison. Pretty soon the whole content of the cup is in your own stomach. This is not just a figure of speech. Energy travels back and forth over the path of sympathy. Over that path of sympathy, you transfer your light to the Shearers. And what do they transfer back to you? Their voracious doubts in the veracity of the teaching given through Elizabeth Clare Prophet. As that energy builds up in your chakras, and four lower bodies, it will take you away from the true and genuine path of the ascension and rob you of the opportunity of participating in the bringing in of the Great Golden Age.

     If the teaching of the Temple of the Presence stands unchallenged, it must, through the operation of the logic described, cause the collapse of the entire life's work of the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet. And not only that. If a larger body of potential lightbearers are beguiled into believing that Judgment Calls are evil, as Monroe Shearer believes, that means that the false hierarchy on this planet will remain entrenched, forestalling any advent of a Golden Age.
