journal in the course of my daily decree services before this local outpost of the Altar of the
Holy Grail, located in my sanctuary, a converted photographic darkroom in the back of our
garage. The Chart of the

 We approach the altar confronted by,
and immersed in a forcefield of total, complete, and unadulterated non-enthusiasm, the very
opposite of eagerness. We are here only because we know, from past experience, that this
forcefield is a huge delusion, a huge falsehood. 5/11/2001

| During the preparatory prayer we say
before our (15x) Hail Marys, "Beloved Mother Mary and Raphael, please help me to come into
alignment with the most fundamental and basic truth in the universe, that God deserves my utmost
respect. Please help me to develop the capacity to extend the utmost respect unto our
Father/Mother God at all times and under all circumstances. Please help me to come into
alignment with the second most fundamental truth in the universe, that God deserves to be
honored at all times and under all circumstances. Please help me to develop the capacity to extend
that honor unto our Father/Mother God at all times and under all circumstances," we are taken
into the mode of awareness that can sense the value of this effort to bring our being into alignment
with this fundamental truth. This mode of awareness stands in stark contrast to the forcefield of
non-enthusiasm we just referenced. We have penetrated through that, and we have touched the
truth, within a region of divine boundlessness. During this set of (15x) Hail Marys, the glow of the
sacred fire of peace and freedom appears within the fabric of our awareness at a level of (4) on the

| This is the 54th consecutive day of the
Linda Healing
Project. Ritual outline:We begin repeating our
victory thoughtform the minute we wake up, "God deserves my utmost respect", and we continue
repeating this to the point we arrive in the sanctuary.
After dressing we proceed directly to the kitchen,
remove Eight dog biscuits from the jar, and chop them in half to yield a total of sixteen pieces.
Eight for Linda, and eight for Max. We proceed to the sanctuary, kneel at the altar, explain our
goals, and ask for assistance. This includes a request that a squad of nature spirits and elementals
to be assigned to tutor Linda in recognizing the difference between friend and foe, and sword
work to cut Linda free from her fear and all aggressive tendencies. For the final step of our prayer
work, we give our Linda Healing Prayer three times visualizing her cradled in our arms: "My
Beloved God Presence, I Am That I Am, please allow Linda to feel your precious friendship, your
precious love, your precious comfort, your precious peace, and your precious healing power.
Please bestow upon Linda the intelligence that will enable her to recognize the difference between
friend and foe."
We depart the sanctuary, taking the white hand bell
from the altar, proceed into the garage, ring the hand bell, open the main garage door, and walk
over to the front gate.
We ring the hand bell again, open the gate, say good
morning to Linda and Max.
We pull the two trash barrels
outside of the gate, walk back inside the gate, close the gate, and walk over to the chain link fence.
We feed two biscuits to each dog and give them a pat on the head, in this order, Max, Linda, Max,
Linda. We repeat "We love you Linda/Max" as we interact with each dog. We then open the gate,
pull the trash barrels back inside of the gate, close the gate, walk back over to the fence and give
each dog two more biscuits and a pat on the head, in this order, Max, Linda, Max,
Linda.
We then open the gate, pull the two trash barrels
outside of the gate again, walk back inside the gate, close the gate, and walk over to the chain link
fence. We feed two biscuits to each dog and give them a pat on the head, in this order, Max,
Linda, Max, Linda. We then open the gate, pull the trash barrels back inside of the gate, close the
gate, walk back over to the fence and give each dog two more biscuits and a pat on the head, in
this order, Max, Linda, Max, Linda.
That done, I say"Goodbye, have a nice day", close the
gate, ring the hand bell, walk into the garage and close the garage door. |
Linda barked at the ringing of the hand bell inside the garage,
and continued barking even as the biscuit feeding started, i.e. with Max. When it was her turn for
a biscuit, at that point the barking stopped. Linda's nose and mouth was covered with saliva, so I
am assuming that the dogs have already had their breakfast. Linda did not bark at any of the
subsequent movement of the trash barrels. Linda was a mixture of eagerness and reluctance today.
During some of the biscuits feeds, she need to be coaxed to stand up and take the biscuit, and on
others she was up on her hind legs quickly to take the biscuit. Odd mixture. Usually she is one
way, or the other, i.e. consistently reluctant, or consistently eager. Today she was both. I am
recording these notes about 15 hours after the session, something I shouldn't do, but it couldn't be
helped today. This is the first opportunity we have to sit down at the computer.
Earlier in the evening when we took the veggie scraps
out to the compost pile, we took some biscuits with us for Linda and Max. Linda barked and
barked and barked while we did our composting chore. But when I arrived over at the fence she
stopped barking, and we gave both dogs about four biscuit pieces each. I tarried there after the
biscuits were gone to see if I could get Linda to stand up and have her head patted. While standing
at the normal position by the fence, I could not entice her to come out of her dog house. But I
walked toward the front gate and then back again, and that drew her out of the dog house and she
stood up to have her head patted. This appears to be a programmed response that is derived from
the patterns of the morning session. We tried that about three times during this session, and it
worked each time. Max allowed me to pet Linda for quite a while without trying to knock Linda
down. Max got a hold of my sweatshirt sleeve again. Ripped another hole in it. But he only does
this for play. There isn't a mean bone in his body. I need to get some kind of dog toy that he

| I wanted to note that during our physical
exercise session today, we increased the number of times we speak the affirmation of our victory
thoughtform, "God deserves my utmost respect". Normally we try to fill the transition spaces
between exercise sets with this affirmation. In addition to the transition spaces, today we
substituted the victory thoughtform for the counting cadence words we use within those exercise
sets that will accommodate it. For example, during our situps, we normally count this way,
"Brahma, Vishu, Shiva, one ... Brahma, Vishu, Shiva, two ... Brahma, Vishu, Shiva, three ...
etc." We changed that to "God deserves my utmost respect, one ... God deserves my utmost
respect , two ... God deserves my utmost respect , three, etc." During these exercise session we do
a total of 352 situps (but not all at once), so that means that we repeated that affirmation 352 times
during the situps alone. We also made this substitution for our pushups, and our toe touchers.
But again, the hour is so late now, that we can't get a grasp upon any internal experiences we may
have had. I am just drawing a blank. It's 3:14am and we should go to bed. [c-notes recorded in

| This is day #138 of the strength of many
mountains, and #136 of the golden portal of the heart
and the many divine cities revealed therein, and #132 of the many many fires of celebration of the
glory of God, and #97 of the nourishment of God's glory spread abroad across the entire planetary
body, and #88 of the garden paradise of the heart, the place where divine friends meet, where the
word "cherish" describes every relationship, and #67 of the personal closeness of my very own
beloved God Presence, and #59 of my very own beloved God Presence as the presence of
paradise, and #46 of the heart as home, and #30 of the flaming garment of praise and adoration,
encrusted with thousands of jewels of divine perception, and #26 of the sacred presence of our
Father/Mother God throughout all space, and #20 of God as the center of Life, and #13 of God as
our very own beloved Oasis deserving of my utmost respect, and #7 of God deserving to be
honored at all times and under all circumstances, and #6 of the passion of the heart for the victory
of God's will through the science of the spoken word, and #4 of the great power and treasure of

| In the course of completing this divine
revelation recollection affirmation paragraph, we are experiencing the appearance of the glow of
the sacred fire of peace, freedom and paradise at a level of (5) to (6) on the (1-12) scale of s.f.
intensity. This also reminded me that we were able to use this DRRA: "God deserves to be
honored at all times and under all circumstances" during some portions of our physical exercise
session. And we were able to focus on affirming this DRRA: "God is the center of life, with a
capital 'L'" during the whole of our shower period after the exercise session with good results.
One thing that I can remember now is that during these affirmations, we were able to enter into a
very clear sense that everything around us, everything we touch, is made out of the substance of
God's Life. And I mean everything. But now it is time for bed. It's almost 3:30am. [c-notes recorded in

| About 7 minutes into our 30 minute period
of violet flame decrees, we were able to lock into our effort to hold fast to the victory thoughtform,
"God deserves my utmost respect." And we were able to make a consistent effort in that direction
over the remaining 23 minutes of the session. About 24 minutes into the 30 minute period, i.e.
with 6 minutes remaining, the glow of the sacred fire of peace, freedom, and paradise appeared
within the fabric of our awareness at a level of (4) to (5) on the (1-12) scale of s.f. intensity, and
remained with us to the end of the violet flame period. This forcefield of paradise suggested the
ambiance of the California coastal redwood forests, and the seashore landscape, as if the energy
that was resident within the fabric of our awareness represented the essence of the beauty of that

Linda barked at the first ringing of the hand bell from inside
of the garage, and continued barking until we arrived at the fence for the biscuit feeding. Linda
did not bark during any of the three subsequent movement of the trash barrels.
We are beginning this ritual about 12:30pm, about two
hours later than normal. Both dogs are full of energy and both are standing up with their front
paws propped up against the fence as we approach the fence. Before I start the biscuit feeding, I
got to pet Linda on the head for a little bit. But Max was in an exuberant play mode and he was
biting at my shirt sleeve, so we needed to move to the biscuit feeding forthwith. It took a while to
get Max to settle down into the routine. Linda again exhibited a mixture of eagerness and
reluctance, weighted on the side of eagerness today. She was eager to stand up to get her biscuit
when it was her turn on 6 of the feedings, but on the other 2 we had to lure her up by reaching
way down and waving the biscuit in front of her nose. On two occasions, Max would sit down
and let me pet Linda for a while before I gave her the biscuit. I wish he would do that more often.
Because of this I had more time to pet Linda during this session.
Now, I forgot about this, but I remembered it during this
session, that we had decided that we needed to change the routine slightly. And we will make this
change tomorrow. As far as the goal of teaching Linda not to bark at the movement of the trash
barrels, we have arrived at a fairly stable situation, in which Linda will bark at the first movement
of the trash barrels just after we first open the gate, but she will not bark at any of the three
subsequent movement of the trash barrels. The last three movement of the trash barrels are
framed by biscuit feedings and interaction. The first movement of the trash barrels comes before
we begin the biscuit feeding and interaction period. We have decided to move the first movement
of the trash barrels into the framework of the biscuit feedings and interaction. What that means is
that when we first open the gate, we will not move the trash barrels out side of the gate. We will
simply close the gate and move directly over to the fence and begin the biscuit feeding and
interaction routine. After two biscuit pieces for each dog, we will then move the trash barrels
outside of the gate for the first time. So the routine will go like this: 1) biscuit feeding, 2) move
barrels out, 3) biscuit feeding, 4) move barrels in, 5) biscuit feeding, 6) move barrels out, 7) biscuit
feeding, 8) move barrels in, 9) biscuit feeding. That change will require one additional biscuit

| This is day #139 of the strength of many
mountains, and #137 of the golden portal of the heart

Again we are facing a huge wall of
reluctance pertaining to our decree work. We have dragged our feet, dragged our feet, and we
arrive in the sanctuary 2 hours late. That wall of reluctance may not be "real", but it sure can
embed a number of hooks into me, and with great force, persuade me to believe that there is
paradise of relaxation waiting for me on that nice soft couch in front of the television set. And we
did watch a movie. And we spent about an hour and a half reading stuff on the Internet, which I
might talk about more later. 5/12/2001 Sat. | |
| As we stand before the altar we are able to
conceive of the fact that there are legions of angels waiting to release their love and joy into the
world for the victory of the Light, in response to the calls that we will give here. And as I stand
here within the forcefield of the altar area, I know it is true. But I can tell you for a fact, that
under the pressure of that desire to "relax" in front of the television set, or to otherwise avoid this
altar work, this fact is nowhere evident, nor is the mind within a million miles of grasping onto it.
The day will come when the power of our vision will be strong enough to penetrate through that
cloud of delusion, but we are not there yet. We can only begin to grasp the reality of the waiting
ascended hosts if we can actually get to the altar where the veil is much thinner, because of the
forcefield of Light established here. 5/12/2001 Sat. |
| As we finish our opening statement we are
immersed within a forcefield of sacred fire glow, of peace, of freedom, at a level of (6) on the (1-
12) scale of s.f. intensity. The mode of awareness associated with this sacred fire glow is
completely forward looking, and ready and delighted to proceed with the work that is before us.
The former condition, those hooks of reluctance, have vanished completely. 5/12/2001 Sat. | |
| I am thinking that one positive reason for
having to repeatedly face this barrier of reluctance, which totally cuts us off from the memory of
our experiences before the altar, is that we might have a first hand experience of the force that has
succeeded in pulling so many away from the Church and off of the Path. We can walk through
that barrier, or struggle through that barrier, depending on its intensity on any given day, only
because of the faith that we have built up through the hundreds of experiences of seeing that
barrier completely disappear when you actually get to the altar and speak the Word. For those
who do not have this experience of the descending Light, and the appearance of the sacred fire
within the fabric of awareness, their intellectual and emotional reasons for staying with the Path
will not be enough to overcome that barrier of reluctance in that day when they have to face the
full brunt of that force of anti-light. When that day comes, they will be swept away from the Altar
of the Holy Grail, and into the outer darkness. They will not be able to stand and hold their
position. And not having the support of community, they will not be able to muster the will to
return. And they become one with that barrier of reluctance, one with the logic of that barrier,
leaving their minds capable only of formulating justifications for not having the will power to
remain faithful to the Light. 5/12/2001 Sat. |
| The glow of the sacred fire of peace and
freedom and paradise emerges within the fabric of our awareness on the 4th of (5x) 30.08,
Covenant of the Magi calls, at a level of (5) to (6) on the (1-12) scale of s.f. intensity.
Again, we are looking around for the former opposition, and it is nowhere to be seen. There is
only freedom here, as a glowing energy forcefield within the very fabric of our

| This phenomena of Light overcoming
Darkness needs to be the central point in our message announcing the availability of the Footprints
on the Mountain feature. We are thinking that it is a good idea to work to raise the level of
appreciation for this most important internal experience of Light's Victory. Other points to
mention might be the unfolding chain of inner experiences regarding the nature of God,
observations concerning important issues, and some rather unusual insights, an example of which
is the hidden ape face in the Chart of the Presence, unfolding milestones on the path of initiation, a
realistic view of what it means to make progress on the path for the benefit of those who just
found the teachings, and even for those who have been on the path for many years, to help
students defeat uncertainty, and set aside misguided expectations, and those guideposts that mark
the pathway into the heart. 5/12/2001 Sat. |
| It is absolutely essential that the soul move
itself into a mode of service to the will of God if the soul is ever to find itself re-integrated with the
energies of the heart, because all of the vast energies of the heart are God-centered, completely
and utterly devoted to the appreciation of God's glory, and to the service of God's plan and
purpose. As the soul moves up the mountain, it will be presented with many successive steps of
integration, each one asking the soul to come into alignment with an incrementally greater depth
and breadth of service to God's purpose and plan, but service at the altar is the first degree of
integration required. Needless to say, one cannot skip over this requirement, this is the first step of
integration, all other steps of integration are built on that. From that center of service, where the
soul learns to work shoulder to shoulder with the heavenly hosts, the Light extends outward,
assisting the soul to exert effort, to fill space, to consecrate space, throughout the entirety of the 24
hour period, with God orientated goals that have been revealed in the course of its altar work.

| The glow of the sacred fire of peace,
freedom, and paradise, emerges within the fabric of our awareness on the 3rd of (45x) Michaels,
at a level of (6) on the (1-12) scale of s.f. intensity, and stayed with us until the very last repetition,

| As we arrive at the 30th repetition of our
(50x) Cyclopeas, we must report a glow of the sacred fire of peace, freedom, and paradise within
the fabric of our awareness at a level of (7) on the (1-12) scale of s.f. intensity. We also must note
that when the fabric of the mind is immersed within the power of paradise, that the supposed
mistakes, and imperfections of the Messenger, whether it be Mark Prophet, or Elizabeth Clare
Prophet, and others in leadership roles in the Church, mean absolutely nothing when it comes to
evaluating the validity of the Teaching. Regardless of their human weaknesses and foibles, they
dedicated their lives to bring forth a Teaching that produces the condition of real freedom in the

| We are amidst a very blessed presence of
paradise as we complete this service, fully enfolded by a level (6) glow of the sacred fire of peace,

In the midst of giving the affirmation of
our victory thoughtform, "God deserves my utmost respect", leading up to our arrival in the
sanctuary, in the background we were trying to get a grasp upon the value of our altar work as a
way to cut through the initial opposition. Normally we are passive observers of the opposition, and
that passivity allows it to get its hooks into our mental and emotional bodies much deeper than
would otherwise be the case I think. But today we decided to begin taking active measures against
it before we arrive in the sanctuary. Something about legions of angels waiting to jump into action
in response to our calls. We tried to pull up that thoughtform and succeeded, sort of, in a

| I wanted to note that after our p.m. decree
service last night, the presence and power of paradise
lingered with us through the dinner making process, so much so, that we were not even tempted to
turn on the television (which we would normally do). And as we contemplated that presence of
paradise we were thinking that our effort, through the footprints project, in underscoring the value
of the presence of the sacred fire during our altar work, will help people to hold fast to a deeper
appreciation of their own experience in this regard, when they too come under the influence of the
opposition which tries to tear them away from the path. 5/13/2001

| We had (2) Teachings related dreams last
night. In one dream, Elizabeth Clare Prophet joined me
for decrees in my sanctuary. She stood directly before the Chart of the Presence, and I stood off
to the side, to her left. In the other dream, we felt the deepest and most profound desire to return
home, presumably to the heart, that almost brought me to the point of tears, but not quite. This
dream had no visual element, only the experience of that profound desire. 5/13/2001 Sun. |
| As we entered into our 15 minute period
of I Am Light calls, we are given to sense a condition of
boundless freedom as we focus on our victory thoughtform, "God deserves my utmost respect."
From the beginning of this decree set, to the point where we were 12 minutes into it, the glow of
the sacred fire of peace, freedom, and paradise gradually increased within the fabric of our
awareness to a level of (6) to (7) on the (1-12) scale of s.f. intensity. Our focus on the issue of
respect was somewhat different during this session. We were anchored within one region, which
framed an experience of a region beyond. In other words, we were anchored within a region of
being in which the effort to hold the victory thoughtform, "God deserves my utmost respect," was
consolidated, where we could feel both the desire to extend that respect, and had the experience of
of extending the actual quality of respect unto God. And that desire, and that extension of the
quality of respect unto God, taken together, framed a perception of a region of boundless

| During the preparatory prayers that lead
into our next (5x) set of Hail Marys, "Beloved Mother
Mary and Raphael, please help me to come into alignment with the most fundamental and basic
truth in the universe, that God deserves my utmost respect. Please help me to develop the capacity
to extend the utmost respect unto our Father/Mother God at all times and under all circumstances.
Please help me to come into alignment with the second most fundamental truth in the universe,
that God deserves to be honored at all times and under all circumstances. Please help me to
develop the capacity to extend that honor unto our Father/Mother God at all times and under all
circumstances," the panorama of the reality of and truth of the honor portion of this
prayer, is presented to our awareness. The sensation is of the deepest comfort and
knowing, because you are seeing that it is true, that God does deserve to be
honored at all times, that this perception is truly the bedrock of our divine identity, and that it is

This is the 56th consecutive day of the
Linda Healing Project. Ritual
outline:We begin repeating our victory thoughtform the minute we wake up, "God deserves
my utmost respect", and we continue repeating this to the point we arrive in the sanctuary.
After dressing we proceed directly to the kitchen,
remove ten dog biscuits from the jar, and chop them in half to
yield a total of twenty pieces. Ten
for Linda, and ten for Max. We proceed to the sanctuary, kneel at
the altar, explain our goals, and ask for assistance. This includes a request that a squad of nature
spirits and elementals be assigned to tutor Linda in recognizing the difference between friend and
foe, and sword work to cut Linda free from her fear and all aggressive tendencies. For the final
step of our prayer work, we give our Linda Healing Prayer three times visualizing her cradled in
our arms: "My Beloved God Presence, I Am That I Am, please allow Linda to feel your
precious friendship, your precious love, your precious comfort, your precious peace, and your
precious healing power. Please bestow upon Linda the intelligence that will enable her to
recognize the difference between friend and foe."
We depart the sanctuary, taking the white hand bell
from the altar, proceed into the garage, ring the hand bell, open the main garage door, and walk
over to the front gate.
We ring the hand bell again, open the gate, say good
morning to Linda and Max, and walk over to the chain link fence. We
feed two biscuits to each dog and give them a pat on the head, in this order, Max, Linda, Max,
Linda. We repeat "We love you Linda/Max" as we interact with each dog.
We then open the gate and pull the two trash barrels
outside of the gate, walk back inside the gate, close the gate, and walk over to the chain link fence.
We feed two biscuits to each dog and give them a pat on the head, in this order, Max, Linda, Max,
Linda. We repeat "We love you Linda/Max" as we interact with each dog. We then open the gate,
pull the trash barrels back inside of the gate, close the gate, walk back over to the fence and give
each dog two more biscuits and a pat on the head, in this order, Max, Linda, Max,
Linda.
We then open the gate, pull the two trash barrels
outside of the gate again, walk back inside the gate, close the gate, and walk over to the chain link
fence. We feed two biscuits to each dog and give them a pat on the head, in this order, Max,
Linda, Max, Linda. We then open the gate, pull the trash barrels back inside of the gate, close the
gate, walk back over to the fence and give each dog two more biscuits and a pat on the head, in
this order, Max, Linda, Max, Linda.
That done, I say"Goodbye, have a nice day", close the
gate, ring the hand bell, walk into the garage and close the garage door. |
This was a good ritual today. First,
Linda did not bark at the ringing of the hand bell inside of the garage. We rang the bell in a
prolonged manner and she did not bark. We opened the garage door and still she did not bark.
We walked over the gate looked over and the dogs were standing there in an expectant manner,
and still she did not bark. I rang the hand bell at the gate and still she did not bark. I opened the
gate and walked over to the fence for the first biscuit feeding. Still no barking. We implemented
the change that is indicated in red in the above outline. We started off with a biscuit feeding rather
than a trash barrel movement. After the first feeding, during the first movement of the trash
barrels, Linda barked one time. Linda barked one time during the second movement of the trash
barrels. Linda did not bark at all after that.
This change has already produced good results.
Normally the ritual begins with an extended period of barking which becomes most intense on the
first movement of the trash barrels. This time there was no extended period of barking, only that
which we have indicated above.
Linda again exhibited a mixture of reluctance and
eagerness when it is her turn to get her biscuits. But this time it was weighted heavily on the side
of eagerness. A couple of times she was standing up for her biscuit before I even got it out of my
pocket. Only on one occasion, this was during the end of the ritual, I had to reach down and
wave it in front of her nose to get her to stand up and take it. The dogs are now getting a total of
ten biscuit pieces each, instead of eight.
On two occasions Max sat down while I was petting
Linda and feeding Linda her biscuit, giving me much more time to pet Linda than is usual. I
appreciate this cooperative side of Max. On a couple of other occasion, rather than knocking
Linda down, Max would stand up with his paws on my left forearm, while my left hand petted
Linda on the head. He busied himself with deciding whether or not to bite and pull on the sleeve
of my sweatshirt while I petted Linda, so that also gave me more time to pet Linda than is usual.
Only on one occasion did Max decide to take a good hold of my sleeve, but he released it rather
quickly.
Today we found ourself changing the way we pet the
dogs. Instead of petting them on the head in a rapid manner that was really a product of the pace
set by Max's exuberance, on a couple of occasions, we petted them on the head with a very
slow and soothing movement, and I think that both dogs responded a little bit to this, perhaps
becoming more relaxed. But we will be able to get a better idea if this change in approach is
meaningful to the dogs as we continue to implement it in the days ahead.
There was a prolonged play period at the end of this
ritual, with Max and Linda wrestling with themselves and paying little attention to me for the most
part. Linda looked like she was having fun. They were still wrestling when I walked away, and
they did not break apart until I rang the hand bell at the gate. There was no barking.
We can see incremental improvements in terms of the
eagerness and friendliness of Linda coming forth and expressing itself a little bit more, and a little

| This is day #140 of the strength of many
mountains, and #138 of the golden portal of the heart
and the many divine cities revealed therein, and #134 of the many many fires of celebration of the
glory of God, and #99 of the nourishment of God's glory spread abroad across the entire planetary
body, and #90 of the garden paradise of the heart, the place where divine friends meet, where the
word "cherish" describes every relationship, and #69 of the personal closeness of my very own
beloved God Presence, and #61 of my very own beloved God Presence as the presence of
paradise, and #48 of the heart as home, and #32 of the flaming garment of praise and adoration,
encrusted with thousands of jewels of divine perception, and #28 of the sacred presence of our
Father/Mother God throughout all space, and #22 of God as the center of Life, and #15 of God as
our very own beloved Oasis deserving of my utmost respect, and #9 of God deserving to be
honored at all times and under all circumstances, and #8 of the passion of the heart for the victory
of God's will through the science of the spoken word, and #6 of the great power and treasure of

We have again faced a very strong
barrier of opposition to our decree work this evening. Even though we made the effort to actively
affirm the value of the work as we headed in the direction of the sanctuary, that did not diminish
the power of the feeling that the last thing we wanted to do was go into the sanctuary. As we
plodded through our opening statements, the only thing on my mind was the need to cut this
decree service short. Entering into our Tubes of Light, the only thing on my mind was to do as
few as possible, and to get out of here as quickly as possible. To that end we were only going to
do only 3 repetitions of our Tube of Light decrees instead of the 12 repetitions that we normally
do. But on the 3rd repetition, the glow of the sacred fire began to appear. Ok I said to myself, in
as much as we can now see some clear space in front of us, we will do 5 repetitions. But the glow
of the sacred fire of peace and freedom continued to increase, and with it the sense of divine
delight, and in as much our awareness was becoming immersed in the glow of the sacred fire, the
desire to cut this decree set short became irrelevant. On the 5th repetition it was clear we could
proceed forward to complete the normal 12x repetitions. By the 12th repetition we were in a solid
level (6) to (7) glow of the sacred fire of peace, freedom, and paradise. And the
opposition had completely vanished. Amazing. 5/13/2001

| To the members of the human race in
general, the issue of extending respect unto God is a lot like the fragrance of a rose to a person
whose olfactory organs have lost the ability to register that fragrance. One day the master bypasses
the student's deficiency in this regard, and reveals the wonder of this fragrance. But it is only a
temporary revelation. Having the immediate memory of the beauty of this fragrance, the student
will return to the rose to experience that fragrance again, but he finds that he cannot smell the
fragrance. But at least now he knows that there is a fragrance, though he cannot smell it with his
own faculties. Thus, depending on how deeply the beauty of that fragrance had impacted his soul,
he will set out on a journey to regain his sense of smell, for reason alone is enough to make it clear
that part of the definition of health and wholeness is to have the capacity to smell the fragrance of
a rose, and to able to revel in its beauty, to appreciate its beauty. And so it is with the quality of
respect. Once the soul is shown that God deserves respect, and is placed within the very flame of
respect, it is exactly like having a fundamental sensory system revealed to the soul. But the soul is
returned to the condition of non-respect, i.e. to that condition of being in which the faculty of
respect is yet dormant, and the soul finds that it cannot smell the rose with its own faculties. But
now, having the desire to experience this fragrance, the soul will then set out on that journey, i.e.
to do whatever it takes to bring about the full awakening of that faculty. [expanded during

| The capacity to grasp this truth, that God
deserves our utmost respect, and the capacity to extend that respect, is in fact the spiritual world
counterpart to what the physical body knows as breathing. Isn't that

| And therefore, until we regain that
capacity, other spiritual beings are actually doing our "breathing" for us, i.e. in spiritual
terms. 5/13/2001 Sun. |
| And in as much as the heart is the center
for both the recognition of this truth, that God deserves our utmost respect, and the power center
from which the power of our respect flows to God, it could be, i.e. the heart center, could be
considered as the spiritual counterpart to the lungs of the physical body. 5/13/2001 Sun. | |
| And this sort of makes sense, in as much
as in the in-breath we draw into ourself the awareness of the glory of God, and in the out-breath
we pour out to God our respect. 5/13/2001 Sun. |
| It is reasonable to expect that the soul will
ultimately regain its capacity to breathe on its own power. Perhaps this is part of the true definition
of being "born again." The child, while being carried in the womb of the mother, relies on the
mothers lungs to get oxygen to its physical body. But when the child is born, and exits the womb
of the mother, and the umbilical cord is cut, the child must breath on its own power, or it will die.
Thus, the primary theme of being born, whether one is born the first time, or born again, is this
need for the child to have the capacity to the breathe on its own power, through the use of its own

| Thinking back on the story of Adam and
Eve, I can see that this conceptual framework will shed some light on the meaning of the words
God spoke to Adam and Eve when he was warning them not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. God said to Adam and Eve, that if they eat of that tree, that they will
surely die. Beginning with the premise that the knowledge of good and evil represents a departure
from the region of absolute truth (where God resides), and into the region of relative good and evil
(where God does not reside), we can see that if the soul enters into this region of relativity, the soul
will lose its pure vision of the glory of God, and thereby, will lose the impetus to extend unto God
the respect he deserves, effectively shutting down the spiritual breathing apparatus of the heart.
When the breathing stops, the soul will suffocate and die, unless some quick action is taken to put
the soul on a form of artificial life support, which God, in his mercy, has provided since the
moment the soul fell from grace. 5/13/2001 Sun. |
| The Masters refer to this artificial life
support system as "keeping the flame on behalf of the evolutions of the earth," a project that
requires a considerable ongoing effort by the hosts of heaven. Who can doubt the fact that these
spiritual beings are in fact "breathing" on behalf of embodied humanity who have completely lost
the capacity to breathe because of the fall into relativity, resulting in the loss of their divine vision,
and the subsequent pollution of the heart center itself? This adds an interesting dimension of

| Experiencing the transition from the depths
of human inertia, into the freedom of the sacred fire glow is like unto doing breast strokes across
the surface of a sludgy tar pit, and as you are struggling along, making less progress than a snail on
Valium, you have plenty of time to take in the dismal and desolate scenery of doubt, uncertainty,
and even despair which populate the banks of this dirty cup like a forest recently burned to the
ground. But this is a decree service after all, and with each stroke you are making your calls to the
hosts of heaven, and by and by, and all of sudden mind you, you find yourself transported out of
that dirty cup, and into a crystal clear stream with a moderate current flowing in exactly the
direction you want to go. On the stream banks you see only paradise, as the beauty of mountain
peaks, green forests, and lush meadows overflowing with all manner and varieties of fragrant
flowers steadily pass before your vision. Your breast strokes can accelerate your forward
movement, but even if you stop swimming, you are still moving forward embraced all about by the
